What to choose
Hi all, I had an apointment with my gyne this week and he has giving me two choices regarding the endo, firstly he can do the op at my local hospital and just laser the endo in my uterus or I can go to either Poole or Southamptom and have the endo on my rectum removed with a " corrective team" on standby

Avastin
I was on Avastin for 18 months. On July 29 I had severe diahreah and could not control it at all. I thought I have a virus and so did my doctor. The next day I was rushed to the emergency room I was almost unconscious . I was imediately taken into surgery. My bowel was perforated and I nearly died. If

Hello to everyone
I just wanted to say hello. I'm newly diagnosed with lung cancer and on the same roller coaster journey that most people seem to travel. Some days I feel very positive and am coping well and other days it seems as though my world has fallen apart. I started with a bout of pneumonia at the beginning of

Feeling confused
My dad (aged 72) was diagnosed with stage 2 lung cancer last February. The cancer hadn't spread, so surgery was a good option. He is very fit and healthy and has never smoked. He had a successful lobectomy in March and they took some nearby lymph nodes which came back clear. He was advised to have four

Jaci
My daughter Jaci suffered from OC, eventually she had colostomy and we were advised she would be in ITU for 3 days, however we had phone call 12 hrs later to say she had been moved to acute stroke unit due to emergencies in ITU. She then got infection and passed away. We were at the mercy of bed managers

Pregabalin
Hi everyone. I have to write on this site to see if anyone has advice for me. I have been taking pregabalin for approximately 18 months this time. It is the one drug that I have every been given that made any difference to the severe anxiety I suffer from. I have read blogs on this site from other people

"Colostomy bag bikini photograph seen by nine million" Have you?
Hi everyone, just wondering if you have all seen these pics! I am adding a link to a BBC article that talks about it....I think is brilliant for awareness, and clearly has help her as well: "When I first had the bags fitted I was devastated - the reaction to this photo has really helped me accept them

Hernia on c-section type scar
Mine is on the left and due to a c-section type scar I have for a sigmoid
colectomy
3 years ago. The GP seems pretty sure that is what it is. I also have adhesions. The main symptoms are shooting pains, into the thigh, hip, and pelvis (in the buttock) all on the left while the right is fine.

Operation has failed!
I mentioned a while ago that I had a procedure involving injections of collagen into the anal canal to treat passive incontinence. I was so hopeful that it would work, but now I`m bitterly disappointed because I`m no better than before. I`m worried that I`ll end up needing nappies, or have to have a

Not sure what to expect
Hi, I had a left diagnostic thyroid lobectomy on wed after an 8mth history of a growing and changing cyst. My FNA's look mostly benign but my consultant wasn't happy about the growth and changes in the 2mth between fna's. My TFT's were within normal range but had increased since first test. I am unsure
