I am very new to this forum so thought I would introduce myself... I am 30 years old ..and after trying for 2 years to have a baby me and my partner decided to visit hospital to check things were ok. Hysterectomy
Hello everyone, I've never written a post on here before, I've always been a 'reader'. I have suffered with endometriosis for about 15 years. I am waiting for a date for my hysterectomy, this is something I did not envisage at 34yrs old. They're making the cut horizontally and taking everything and

Some good news!
After debulking surgery in July 2014 and 6 rounds of chemotherapy, for stage 3 OC, I have finally been given the all clear. Okay, so I've got no hair left, and a colostomy bag but it could be a lot worse. I have just had to make friends with it. I used to be a curly redhead (out of a bottle) so it will

Hi All Long time since I've been on here as my symptoms have been going quite well... until recently. Prior to Mid January they were controllable and I had very little discomfort / pain. I would have 1 bowel movement a day either when I woke up or when I came home from college. And I would always have

What to choose
Hi all, I had an apointment with my gyne this week and he has giving me two choices regarding the endo, firstly he can do the op at my local hospital and just laser the endo in my uterus or I can go to either Poole or Southamptom and have the endo on my rectum removed with a " corrective team" on standby

Avastin
I was on Avastin for 18 months. On July 29 I had severe diahreah and could not control it at all. I thought I have a virus and so did my doctor. The next day I was rushed to the emergency room I was almost unconscious . I was imediately taken into surgery. My bowel was perforated and I nearly died. If

Feeling confused
My dad (aged 72) was diagnosed with stage 2 lung cancer last February. The cancer hadn't spread, so surgery was a good option. He is very fit and healthy and has never smoked. He had a successful lobectomy in March and they took some nearby lymph nodes which came back clear. He was advised to have four

Jaci
My daughter Jaci suffered from OC, eventually she had colostomy and we were advised she would be in ITU for 3 days, however we had phone call 12 hrs later to say she had been moved to acute stroke unit due to emergencies in ITU. She then got infection and passed away. We were at the mercy of bed managers
