Frustrated
I've been doing calf raises, using KT tape, run at a higher cadence without overstriding, run on grass, but I'm constantly struggling between trying to get myself into a routine without bringing

Osteopath magic
The osteopath recommended drinking more to prevent
injury
. He also suggested cycling and swimming (
back
stroke) to relax back muscles and get knees and ankles back into shape. He also suggested drinking less coffee. Well I'm trying !

Settling in to the journey
Unfortunately just now I have a disc
injury
in my
back
which is affecting my activity levels but saw the chiropractor yesterday which is a good step towards managing it. I don't post very often but get so much encouragement and support from this forum and reading others' posts.

Going too fast?
strong enough to set them
back
for days ( if not weeks) :) On the other hand, knowing I can take it so far keeps pushing me to again get a notification like "today records fell" etc.

Week 7 R2 injury fear
I'm not sure whether it's best to rest up a while (and risk losing momentum) or just try and run through it (and risk
injury
that would set me right
back
) Any thoughts from you more experienced rumers?

Week 7 - mission complete and a minor injury
Enough in the tank at the end for a little spurt 😁 And so to the
injury
😢 I've hurt my
back
! Bent to pick up three bags of heavy grocery shopping and just felt that trapped nerve feeling. I've had it before. Sometimes it lasts a day sometimes a week or more.

On the IC (not running related)
It's now out of the sling (didn't need a cast as it was a stable fracture) so I've been cracking on with the physio exercises like nobody's business - want to get as much pre-
injury
movement/flexion
back
as possible.

Finally back running, and longest distance achieved!
I even felt like I could have gone further but I decided that I'd better not overdo it and risk
injury
. I'm so pleased to be
back
running and I've marked out two days this week when I might be able to work from home and then get out for a run.

W7R1 - cold, wet, slippy, muddy - brilliant!
Back
the other way quick before I gave myself a serious
injury
as well as a full mud bath, I finished up on the canal and was back on the streets still running for the last 5 minutes, still full of energy, a bit quicker still without the mud hazards AND with extra beans to spare for a super snail sprint

Tending to the tendons.. and some running discount rewards to recommend
Had almost 2 weeks off after running my first 9k due to an overtraining
injury
to the
back
of my heel- either a bit of insertional achilles tendinitis or plantar fasciitis or a combination.

Awake
I have been up since 4.00am, but just lazing about, back aches and I have just noticed my skin on my legs has got very thin. My veins show through , I am on steroids 10mgs. Do steroids thin your skin? Also I met someone who had cancer , now in remission. But he gave me some advice . To use red thyme

Saw palmetto capsules
Hi since I was diagnosed as hypothyroid, I have lost more & more of my hair on the top & sides of my head, and it was becoming a real problem. My mother (also hypo like me) has the same problem and her hair is terribly thin. I did some research on line, and for a month have been taking 1000mg saw palmetto
