Upper Back, Shoulder, Chest Pain -Left Side? Seriously paranoid...!
I then
back
in October had a trapezius
injury
on my right side which radiated into right arm. had a neck brace as it seemed to stem from that. Felt nerve related at that point. I rehabilitated through stretching and resistance band work. I notice that my bed was to blame.

had the lovely privilege of meeting hussainboltz today at bolton parkrun :)
couch heals soon and can get
back
to running and has a great day today as well even if you can't manage to go for a run today, and anyone who is still hesitant about going to their first parkrun, it's an amazing thing you can do, I waited about 3 months to go to my first one and I felt like I was accepted

There is slow and steady then there is Me.
I think I need more rest days inbetween as I am coming
back
from a shoulder
injury
. The good news is that even if I manage two sessions a week it will be two more than I was doing before so I am going to persevere but extra rest days. Good luck everyone.

Are there ways to stay active, productive and socially involved as Ataxia symptoms gradually get worse?
About fifteen years ago, I was an active person selling various insurance and investment products. Then, I started noticing balance problems. At first, I underestimated how much my ability to maintain balance had decreased and, as a result, had no concern walking over a garden hose in my garage. The

Pudendal nerve
The physio exercises have helped a bit but they say they should be started as soon as possible after
injury
, so as I only started them a few months
back
, it was a long time after the
injury
. For the last month I've been having a really bad flare up.

Getting back to work
Well I must admit,I can't believe how difficult it has been to try and get back to work or even get any help to get
back
. I had my
injury
4 years ago and have been looking for something for the last few years but I am getting nowhere.

EX C25K'er needing to lose 15kg
Had to stop C25K with Achilles tendon
injury
in March 2014. The treatment caused me severe
back
pain issues so as a result I have gained weight from 74.6kg to my current 79kg. I'm T2D and need to keep blood sugars under control.

Getting back into it
Just had a couple of months off after an
injury
and want to get
back
into it but don't know where to start. I only graduated in July so not an experienced runner and would appreciate suggestions where in the programme to start at.

Foot injury update!
He gave me a soft tissue massage around the
injury
, and acupuncture (my first time), and I'm going
back
on Monday to review the situation. No running for the time being, but he said when it was 90% healed, I'd be able to run cautiously.

Parkrun the long way round. Ow.
If it turns out that this works, see "rule one": Before all else, look after the
back
injury
the numb foot is announcing to you. Be active but very careful, and if experiments with running start to come unstuck, bail out. Don't commit to stupidity.

How have people here handled
injury
? What do you do when you go
back
to it? And how much did your running suffer? Thanks

I have gone and done it again!
I know since coming
back
from
injury
I am running a lot more relaxed and easy just because I am having more fun with it. My doctor and physio tell me running is the best way for me to deal with my stress and I just love putting my shoes on getting out the door and relaxing into a good run.

Re Leg Discomfort
It was interesting to read the replies to the recent post on leg discomfort, and especially to learn that our "Volunteer" had driven almost all the way through France without discomfort. I was diagnosed with pmr at the beginning of this year, and am just tapering down via the ultra slow method from 10mg
