I went to
swimming
3/4 miles 5 times a week to a short 20 minute walk once a week and some light errands. It has been a dramatic change in my lifestyle.

My knee surgeon suggested (nicely) that I took up
swimming
or cycling instead as (Quote) “I was not anatomically built for running” ..... I'm pretty sure that makes me deluded for continuing (an ode to Marvo69) but I will continue and be careful as long as I can.

Different Ball Game
I’m in the ‘real enjoy’ camp and was looking forward to my second summer of running/
swimming
in Croatia but the element of humidity is something not to be taken for granted and the chapter of ‘listen to your body’ had to be re-read.

Exercise advise? (single leg lymphoedema)
I'm getting on well, cycling or
swimming
or indoor rowing every day. I'm also lifting arm weights daily. However, I don't know where to find any guidance about what is or isn't ok to do with my leg and abdominal lymphoedema - eg am I ok to do sit-ups and ab crunches, or should I avoid them?

W2R3 better better!
It was much easier to be distracted when I was watching the
swimming
pool so will move back there next time. I keep thinking back to my first run and how I couldn’t finish without a rest. I’ve come so far. Bring on week 3!

Is sugar giving me energy because I can process it quickly while carbs seem to stick (hiatus hernia) and too slow to give me the boost ?
I go
swimming
3 times a week and find that I am relatively painfree in the water. I am just too tired and can't be bothered cooking 'proper' meals just for myself - so its often stir fry. I can't eat pastries of any kind or have bad reflux. I don't eat takeaways at all.

Energy slump
Fast forward to today and my newly found exercise regime (C25K, some
swimming
, some yoga) has really not made a difference to these energy dips.

Reminding myself to love life and starting to trust my legs a bit
. 😔 then I read a post on the C25k forum from someone who was going through the same familiar feeling I had gone through with
swimming
and that had started to creep into my head today: talking myself out of it - or not able to talk myself INTO it.

Good news bad news
After a visit to my hip replacement surgeon, my new right hip is doing well and I can start
swimming
, not breast stroke, and driving again, though not in my sports car. I have started to cook dinner occasionally, much to hubbie's delight. I can dance at our Golden Wedding Anniversary.

Are You Happy with your Type 2 diabetes Medications?...
Swimming
and walking are both great options. •Tracking your blood sugar regularly as advised by your doctor. Depending on your situation and the medications you currently take, you may need to do this several times daily.

What do you think of this letter that I will give on my next appointment in August?
I have discovered that exercise such as running, yoga and
swimming
help with the pain and I try and workout out 3-5 times a week. I fully understand that I have to maintain this condition and live with it and that is why I have truly helped myself, but my pain is starting to just get worse.

When i get there they are all
swimming

Celebrating £££ raised for PC UK + Dad feeling low due to hormone therapy :(
I've encouraged him to start
swimming
regularly again (his whole working life was as a National
swimming
instructor) as that will help with his natural endorphins (outside of this, he is one of the most active near 80 years olds I know) and we've obviously encouraged to keep talking to us.
