What a good holiday

Well folks, my week in glorious Devon was wonderful, such wonderful views from the cottage in Bideford which I hasten to add also had its own swimming pool, and the weather was wall to wall sunshine☀️ all week, have come home feeling really relaxed and chilled out but now have to tackle the washing and ironing, oh and mow the lawn which has really grown. Although I Slapped on factor 50 Solar D sunscreen from Australia, and wore a hat I have a really lovely glow about me, I feel really well. Is it not amazing just what a good holiday can do for your well being ET or no ET 😉

Hi Jean,

Just wanted to say I am delighted you had a wonderful holiday and that it had such a wonderful effect on your sense of wellbeing! You have earned it!

Hold onto to the good feeling and sure the laundry and ironing can wait!

All the very best

Hi again,

I meant to say that your photo of where you stayed is so beautiful it looks like a painting. Wish I was there but without the sun!

It was really beautiful, the cottage was on a Farm called Tennacott, we stayed there last year but in one of their other cottages which overlooked the river Torridge, the cows come right up to the garden fence which amused the grandchildren. Even my husband made friends with one of the cows it seemed to have a smile on its face, kept coming back every day, we knew it was the same one because of its number on its rear end 🐄

Very enjoyable.

Good for you!! I'm off to Devon myself next week, so I'm hoping you have left some of that lovely sunshine for me :-) It really does lift the spirits

They are still forecasting good weather for the rest of the month so let’s hope. It certainly made me feel good.

Oh that looks so beautiful, it made my eyes well up! I wish I could be there right now, I'm so tired...

Tell you what Bridie as soon as I was away from everything mundane my well being just lifted, did gentle swimming first thing in the morning, went for walks and enjoyed the scenery, blue skies and the warm sunshine on my body, even went for a swim in the sea bit cold but loved it.

I feel for you with such tiredness it just is soooo debilitating, there are times when if I do not sit down and just close my eyes I think that I would fall down, but by just being away and enjoying the sun, sea, and oh so fresh air I feel rejuvenated, well at least for a little while.

I have traveled a lot in my life to some far flung places, but there is nothing more beautiful than this country.

Hi! How wonderful to read such an upbeat post and I’m so pleased you had a such a good holiday. Yes, hols are wonderful aren’t they, but at 64 I’m on permanent holiday ( apart from cooking cleaning ironing gardening and all the rest!) beautiful here in the Lakes at the moment. Last week it was 34 in Windermere. Too hot to go out but it’s such a joy to look out of the windows and see clear blue sky every day.

Let’s all make the most of it while we can, even if we do struggle in the sunshine.

Oh Louise, you also live in such a beautiful part of the country, such a lovely feeling to be able to look out on beautiful surroundings is it not. I always loved being outside in the sun it made me feel so good, loath winter, so now I wear factor 50 a nice big wide hat and my glasses are reactor and go outside and enjoy it ☀️

Glad you had a lovely visit to my adopted home county and the weather we put on for you was superb! Actually it’s too hot for my liking but so glad others can get out and enjoy it. I must admit the thought of a private pool is very enticing!

Don’t spoil the effects of your holiday by rushing to get everything done now you are back

Best wishes

Pleased you enjoyed it - such a difference when the weather is good! We have a little caravan in North Yorkshire and it's been gorgeous up there too. I'm also on permanent holiday now I'm 30 (oh alright 65) x
