Covid recovery
From day 1 I was prescribed
steroids
and a 2 week course of Docyciclyne to take alongside my nebuliser. I’m now on my third course of
steroids
and my peak flow is still only about 310. Heart rate is still higher.

Surely the answer should be NO, he is right it isn't a cure either but he should be saying nothing other than

Vaccinations
I have Churg Strauss (EGPA) treated with methotrexate and
steroids
, and have been invited for Phnumonia and Shingles vaccinations. Are they safe/sensible to have?

Also for those who’s hair has been affected with
steroids
I invested in a hair topper from a good wig salon. It’s amazing how much more confidence it gives you when your hair looks lovely. My hair has broken off all over. The topper is a game changer for me and it looks so natural.

I’ve just had a raft of blood tests as I am suffering with terrible itching and rashes which I understand are quite common whilst reducing
steroids
(currently 1mg).

Had pulse field ablation April 15.
I am still recovering because I have these other issues: polymyalgia rheumatica on long term
steroids
, secondary adrenal insufficiency and asthma. This is my 3rd month and I am resuming exercises and feeling better.

STUCK IN A PRED RUT
I am having nose bleeds and the ENT Consultant has told me to ‘get off’ the
steroids
. I have for the last 10 days 1/4mg daily reduction. It has been agony. Shoulder and upper leg pain, brain fog and feeling tired and unwell. I don’t know what to do.

Eyesight Improvement
I've not mentioned this to the doctor yet, as when I googled
steroids
and vision it was actually more focused on
steroids
making eyesight worse - so wondered whether anybody else had experienced improved eyesight before I see the Dr for a catch up next week. Any input is appreciated.

The optician said it was due to the

and can sometimes happen. I have to go for yearly tests now as I’m on

I've a bad chest too but I'm on
steroids
that have wiped my immune system. Struggling to remain positive, we've thrown everything at this round so I don't know why it won't work 😫

GCA/PMR and spa treatments
My question is with regards to getting massage while on
steroids
and while having GCA/PMR as my mum got a spa voucher for my sister and I and herself at Christmas. The SPA are aware my mums on long term
steroids
but I am still a bit concerned about what treatments it's safe for my mum to get.

Balancing symptoms and pred dosage?
This wears off once he's up and moving and the
steroids
have kicked in. My question is, given that prolonged inflammation causes damage, and that unnecessarily high steroid use worsens side effects, is there a rule of thumb about symptoms versus dosage?

My awful day and unexpected update from G.P
I strongly disagreed and explained that when I started
steroids
I became pain-free almost immediately so how did he explain the remarkable response to the
steroids
?

update on grumpy Grampy
Grumpy Grampy is doing well, he’s off the
steroids
, after two years. Struggling a little with that, he’s ok if I keep my hands off his neck😉 he’s taking codiene, for the cough which helps a little, well was until the pharmacies can’t get hold of it🤷♀️ using oxygen whenever he needs it.

GCA or Occipital Neauralgia
I’ve had a biopsy which came back negative, because previously my doctor prescribed
steroids
for inflammation and head pain. Rheumatologist prescribed 50mg of prednisone after a while to be gradually reduced.
