I’m at end stage emphysema have just come off a dose of prednisone. Felt halfway human and motivated to do small jobs around the house. It felt so good just to make us both a cup of tea What is the reason why GPS are against giving a small does daily just to be able to have some quality of life. Thankyou

Steroids- dosage
I have been prescribed
steroids
(prednisolone) but only 10mg and not for long. For those who were successful, what was your dosage and for how many weeks please?

Extra steroids?
Since I'm getting no sense out of him, is there anyone on here know if using Beconase as well as oral
steroids
can have a bad effect? It doesn't seem to at the moment - usual insomnia problems as I've just tapered, but apart from that ok.

Eyesight and Steroids
I've not mentioned this to the doctor yet, as when I googled
steroids
and vision it was actually more focused on
steroids
making eyesight worse - so wondered whether anybody else had experienced improved eyesight before I see the Dr for a catch up next week. Any input is appreciated.

Hi I have PMR ( diagnosed in April this year ) My rheumatologist gave me a steroid injection 3 weeks ago in shoulder for pain ( she was reluctant for me to go back on oral preds because I’m diabetic type 2 ) Anyway the
steroids
reduced the pain for a short while . Then it was agony !

Who uses steroids?
I have a question about
steroids
. I recently had whole brain radiation for a bunch of tiny Mets . Before this I was on Trodelvy. My biggest side effect forever has been nausea. Many of the meds for nausea don’t work for me. The only thing I haven’t tried are

Hello to all Three years ago I was diagnosed with GCA and put on 75mg of Prednisilone tapering for 2 years till I finished. I managed to stay off Prednisone for 1 year. During that time I suffered many side effects, well that is what I thought was the case. I improved slowly but then went downhill

My consultant is happy to prescribe
steroids
, clexane and aspirin without the text which is so much cheaper. Wondered if anyone else has done this and got a BFP?

Travelling whilst taking steroids
Anyway, the reason for writing is that I am doing well with my reduction of
steroids
. I am now down to 4mg and don't want to spoil it... I really am feeling well at the moment. Can anyone tell me how I manage my intake with the time difference?

Steroids and Phlegm Samples
Hi, Does anyone know if it is ok to start a course of
steroids
, before giving a sample of phlegm. I took a course of antibiotics a few weeks ago and didn't feel the infection was totally cleared up, but I'm very reluctant to start a second course without knowing if I have an infection, or not.

Post Operative Steroids
I am now home after having a new knee fitted. They kept me in an extra night due to being in surgery much longer than anticipated and low sodium levels, so saline drip overnight. I am guessing I was given more anaesthesia than planned, I am finding that I am more tired than I've ever felt. I can
