I have now been referred to Severe Asthma Clinic but no date, I have an appointment still at normal Respiratory clinic coming up shall I go, as got chronic mucus again n qheeze blue inhaler all the time to stop, GP just gives steroids , I have some steroids left so may just take for a week if continues

until I here from then do I just ask for more Steroids ! think she is sending me regarding a Biologic , they thought it was poss due to allergy so would it not be better to go to a allergy clinic ?

I am on high doses of Steroids to reduce swelling and they are having terrible side effects. Anyone else had issues with them? I am being gradually weaned off them but I don't recognise myself on them - bloating , moon face and totally irrational!

You guys are on steroids. Great job. This a European blog? A doctor in America has gone on the war path against dopamine agonist. There is a video of him addressing recent sleep med grads. He is emphatic about managing patient results where dopamine agonist are concerned.

hi. I had a steroid injection Tuesday only because I did think it would help my very stiff hands. But no luck it’s done nothing. I have had all my bloods checked as I’m constantly tired. No energy what so ever. These all came back with good readings. I’ve been on Sulfasalazine two tablets twice

Hi is there anyone that could advise me, for the first time in over 2 years I have just taken my night medication and realised I hadn’t taken my steroids this am. I don’t even know how!

does anyone else now only get a pack with 28 not 30 to cover the 6 tablets for 5 days? pharmacy says 28 is good enough dont need 30.

I believe you are more likely to loose hair if taking Steroids long term. Would appreciate knowing if this is common. Also roughly how long after starting to have Steroids that this is likely to happen.

hi all what steroids you take and dose for your kidney transplant? My nephrologist said if I go ahead with the transplant I will need to take steroids for life! And I know steroids long term suppresses our adrenals etc.. Thanks!

Just wondering if an EpiPen will still work when taking steroids for GCA. I understand that steroids stop the adrenal glands from working and EpiPen is Adrenalin.

Started taking steroids 6 weeks ago. Reduced after 3 weeks taking 15mg steroids a day. During this time hands, especially right hand very painful at night. Can only take panadol to relieve the pain. Last four mornings taking 20mg steroids. No improvement.

They told me to take for 6 weeks before transfer, has anybody else had success doing this then going onto steroids post transfer? TIA, xx

I’m currently 5 weeks pregnant after our 2nd transfer. Every night since BFP I’ve had cramping that woke me up. and I’ve felt bloated and breathless. I'd remained on 2000 mg of Keppra per day until I had that bad flare last summer and needed three days of IV steroids, 1250mg prednisolone per day. Then, I began having auras again, and my Keppra was raised to 2500 per day last fall.

I’m assuming it’s nothing I’m doing wrong and I’ll continue gaining weight until I’m back off steroids??

Is it okay to have mild adrenal deficiency symptoms when reducing steroids ? Is this just something we all need to go through and wait for it to pass? or do we need to avoid it by upping steroids? (I hope not)

I’m worrying myself today about side effects of prednisolone and inhaled steroids etc, I have a steroid card and had quite a few weeks of high dose prednisolone last few months plus looking likely to continue while I wait for specialist appointment in April.
