Steroids

I am on high doses of Steroids to reduce swelling and they are having terrible side effects. Anyone else had issues with them? I am being gradually weaned off them but I don't recognise myself on them - bloating , moon face and totally irrational!

You guys are on steroids. Great job. This a European blog? A doctor in America has gone on the war path against dopamine agonist. There is a video of him addressing recent sleep med grads. He is emphatic about managing patient results where dopamine agonist are concerned.

does anyone else now only get a pack with 28 not 30 to cover the 6 tablets for 5 days? pharmacy says 28 is good enough dont need 30.

They told me to take for 6 weeks before transfer, has anybody else had success doing this then going onto steroids post transfer? TIA, xx

I’m currently 5 weeks pregnant after our 2nd transfer. Every night since BFP I’ve had cramping that woke me up. and I’ve felt bloated and breathless. hi, been on steroids, methotrexate, yuflyma for almost a year. When I reduce down on the steroids my knee is so painful I have to go back on steroids within days.

Put on steroids 7 day, 40mg. No effect so repeated 40mg for 7 days then a reduction of 5 mg every 3 days. 2 days after this finished symptoms flared again,breathless wheezing etc. Ended up in hospital. More steroids this time reducing from 40mg every 5 days.

Stuttering on Steroids Hi fellow steroiders I am now into my 6 month of my journey. For the last 5 weeks tapering from 8mg to 71/2.

Is it okay to have mild adrenal deficiency symptoms when reducing steroids ? Is this just something we all need to go through and wait for it to pass? or do we need to avoid it by upping steroids? (I hope not)

I’m worrying myself today about side effects of prednisolone and inhaled steroids etc, I have a steroid card and had quite a few weeks of high dose prednisolone last few months plus looking likely to continue while I wait for specialist appointment in April.

Hi all I received Health Unlocked posts for a long time then it disappeared! I really miss the stories. I've been struggling with blood sugars up to 42 twice so now on a v low sugar & carbs diet!! Each time affected my feet! No pain just part numb. I'm on 3mg to 2.5mg DSM. Thankyou. Take care everyone

Conclusion: my adrenal glands are slightly surpressed, but functioning well enough for me to come off steroids and my lupus is stable enough to come off the steroids. Great news!!! You say.

I've just been prescribed oral steroids for a bad asthma attack following a cold and it is a revelation.

Now, into the new year, I am on my third round of antibiotics and steroids I still can't breathe unless I on the steroids.

when taking 4mg methylprednisolone, if there are no current signs of fatigue or other bothersome symptoms. Does this mean adrenals are working on their own?
