lower dose prednisone
until I see rheumatologist in June instead of stopping in may as planned as it’s obviously working providing this was a connective tissue disease causing inflammation and effusion’s, it’s been a very long road for me and I finally feel I getting somewhere although I am struggling with side effects from

Blood test results
She also seemed a bit concerned about white blood cell results but put it down to being on
steroids
, just wondering if anyone else has increased white blood cell results. Many thanks.

Does PMR affect one side of your body more than the other ?
And how long the
steroids
are taking to kick in in the morning . I’m doing 5mg at 2am and the rest whenever I wake , normally between 5 and 6 am with no real relief until 4-5 hours later . I am taking paracetamol in between due to the soreness in my left shoulder and knee .

Slippery Elm & Steroids
I have used Slippery Elm in the past for gastritis and found it superior to Omeprazole. My concern is about medications being absorbed properly if taken at the same time. Has anyone had any experience of using Slippery Elm?

In addition, she has been prescribed 2mg daily dexamethasone

Out of Kilter
I had to have

again. I have been checked for diabetes and it’s not that, even though I have a lot of the symptoms. Some renal blood tests are off, as well as a urine test. The doctor said it could be my thyroid or cortisol levels (because of the

Sotalol side effects
For this I was diagnosed with polymyalgia and put on
steroids
. I am wondering now if it's the Sotalol as I am off the
steroids
but still have some joint pain. I was swapped from flecainide as it caused a pro arrythmia in me and I am waiting for an ablation, scheduled for the 26th of March.

How it feels to have stopped steroids
Hi, just looking for some reassurance really. I stopped Prednisolone in November and felt OK, some stiffness in legs but no pain. And yoga and weekly exercise class has helped. Probably like most I felt much better when we got those odd spring days. And last week cut down a couple of bushes in the

Hot flushes returned since PMR diagnosis
I wonder if it’s the condition or the
steroids
that cause it ? I was lucky and apart from the hot flushes and a few night sweats I didn’t have any after major symptoms of the menopause.

Prednisone for treatment of AIG
I've just been started on Prednisone or Prednisolone, immunosuppressant
steroids
, for treatment of Autoimmune Gastritis/autoimmune PA. This has recently, within the last few years been shown to possibly heal AIG, although not entirely cure.

What creams are good for skin thickening? What do you use?
Can
steroids
creams be helpful? As I know they cause skin thinning.... any help or light on the matter will be appreciated! Thanks in advance! 🙃
