Took a month of
steroids
- no change. Hands shaking, tingly fingers and feet, balance was off, really struggling at work and a friend told me to go back to my GP - later told me she thought it was Parkinson’s.

GCA and Vision update
I sometimes wonder if it’s GCA causing the vision problems (rather than the
steroids
, as the docs think) bc of the way my dosaging was handled. I was given 120 mg of prednisone intravenously in the emergency room. That was on a Saturday. No visual symptoms.

confused
I say I’m feeling so well I just want to continue with the
steroids
and get on with my life. He then talks about
steroids
as though they are going to ruin my life and he wants me to start to taper off in 4 weeks….15mg for 4 weeks, 10 for two weeks then stop.

Nervous changing from Prednisolone to Hydrocortisone
Adrenal gland isn’t working so I doubt if I can get off
steroids
entirely anytime soon. Anyway spoke to my Endocrinologist the other day and we discussed trying Hydrocortisone as an alternative to see if I felt any better in my general well, health which isn’t great.

Bruising, Ozempic, Nausea, Depression, Steroids, Facial Hair. You Name It.
Steroids
for PMR led to diabetes II. Also, two half brothers have diabetes. 3. Doc put me on Ozempicto get my weight down as low as it can be to avoid insulin shots. 4. From lowest dose of Ozem I am still queasy most of the time after I eat. Like now. 5.

Treatment for high nkcells: steroids and intralipids
My consultants agree I should have
steroids
, aspirin, clexane added to my next FET as I’ve got a series of antibody issues and very high nk cells One has also suggested I have intralipids? It would be great to hear your thoughts on them Love to you all x

Hip replacement
I find it hard with polymyalgia to move my legs without stiffness even with the
steroids
. So I'm wondering if anyone has had a new hip whilst suffering and how it affects recovery with exercises? Any advice welcome. Thanks

Hi there 👋
Always looking for tips in dealing with PMR, prednisone, side effects of
steroids
, tapering, lifestyle adjustments and interpersonal relations. And sometimes it’s great to have a place to check out if what I’m experiencing is par for the course or maybe it’s not PMR and I need to check it out.

Wound healing thoughts?
No-one here wil be suprised to learn that no doctor has examined it, and the practice nurses who've done the dressing have no advice to add in relation to
steroids
or my general health. Any thoughts, advice, tips would be welcome Thanks x

Hello and Pred dose increase?
My dermatologist has said it could be steroid myopathy so increasing
steroids
is not necessarily a great idea. A few days ago my neck also began stiffening up/ being achy although that could be due to having slept on my stomach I suppose. I know I’m very deconditioned.

Specialist wanted me off
steroids
as quick as I could as it mask so much . So I achieved in six months going from 15mil to 5mil . Never have I endured so much pain . I need a rest before I go to zero . My question is I had severe swelling in feet & upper leg that's painful & making walking hard.

How long can a asthma episode last?
She had 10 days of
steroids
and 10 days of antibiotics for a chest infection. As you can imagine she is shacking. We have been to the doctors twice, oxygen level been good at 97. I mentioned if they just gave her a NEB the wheeze would go but as we all know they don’t give NEBS anymore 🙄

'Headspin'
A few days after I was told this, I woke up with 'Bell's Palsy', and put on
Steroids
for ten days, which didn't work. The left side of my face has collapsed, and I have a permanent open eye, and lips almost vertical.

Rheumatologist Visit after 9 months
She is very much of the mind of getting of
steroids
asap and has already mentioned the steroid sparers to help us get lower quicker if need be. I will be taking DL tapers with me to show her as i do not want my mum given anything else as she is coping really well with pred and our slow taper.

Feel dreadful after AFib episode
However after nearly 3 years on
steroids
because I also have Polymyalgia and decreased mobility due to recently diagnosed Scoliosis of the spine I still have a lot of weight to lose.My Cardiologist said that because of my weight I would not be considered for an Ablation and he is reluctant to prescribe
