Hi lovely Lupies, an update on my post despairing of getting any support.
Today the Rheumatology Nurse called me and was incredulous when I told her about my GP`s attitude. Within an hour I have now had a call from my Rheumy`s secretary to say a prescription for a course of steroids has been sent to my Health Centre to get me over this Easter weekend.I am beyond grateful.
Have a peaceful, happy chocolate fuelled Easter everyone and thank you all for your support, it means so much ❤️🐰🐣🐥🐤🍫 xxx

fantastic! at least the system does work sort of ( slowly 😁) hope the steriods kick in quickly to give some relief.
Im a believer in ‘as and when’ taking them. a steriod injection truly sorted out my hand (kept dropping things or fingers would cease up) and an occcasional weeks worth for lungs.
once again have a lovely relaxing Easter, hope those fur babies have an easter treat too 😉x
Yes I agree. Pre being sick I had brittle asthma and spent a year and a half in 1998 on 70 mg of pred reducing each time and then would end up back in hospital on IV pred. I was having six monthly bone scans and taking meds to protect my bones. I ballooned and have never deflated , had the worst heartburn but I lived through it. Now I worry about taking 30 mg but it really is about quality of life.
My boys have peanut butter turtles, peanut butter and banana antlers, strawberry and beetroot lobsters and Venison Earth Animal chews. Spoiled rotten but so worth it.
Enjoy your Easter too and thank you for your kindness xx
Yay 🎉.I got prednisolone yesterday too for my symptoms (got in before easter thank goodness). I'm hoping to improve shortly like you. When my mouth ulcers go I'm reaching for the chocolate too. 😁
Brilliant. Please try the three in one mouthwash my Rheumy prescribes for me. It is soluble prescription, soluble antibiotic, and Nystan liquid mixed with cooked boiled water and hold it in your mouth for a minute spit out and repeat every few hours. It works so well. Enjoy the chocolate xx
Does it numb as well as cure. Its the pain that wears me out although I have found that oragel applied every couple of hours stings like hell for a minute then numbs completely. Doesn't last that long though. I just have to go careful with antibiotic at the moment as tablet form seems to cause allergic reaction every time now and I end up in this mess. I've sent pics to my dermatologist and am awaiting a referral to an allergy clinic so hopefully they can sort out whats going on between them. I will say I'm just a tad scared as to what medication will cause this next. A friend has said for me to get tested for Stevens Johnsons syndrome so maybe that's the next thing to rule in or out. Lupus is such a sneaky difficult thing to live with. It's like living with a gremlin inside you.
