Overcoming ADD without Meds
Has anyone tried to overcome their ADD without meds, antidepressants and choose to reduce symptoms with a low-carb diet (no preservatives/sugar/junk food etc.) combined with regular exercise, meditation & positive affirmations etc. I know this is not possible for everyone to improve their ADD symptoms

Inhalers to be reduced!!!
Just returned from Annual asthma review- slightly confused.!! I am an Elite Master competitive swimmer 59 yrs and clock some 36km per week. I've been informed that my usage of Salamol and Clenil apparently are being looked at. !!! My explanation regarding the necessity to use them prior to training

Quiche
This was what I had tonight. I also had asparagus and a Greek yogurt on the side. The crust was made with yellow rice and two different types of cheese and fake bacon pieces mixed in. Very good and low carb high protein. There are leftovers for another dinner.😀👍

How long can you take low dose naltrexone for?
Didn’t get much back from my previous post but I’m wondering if anyone can answer this? Is there a time limit or can you take it for as long as you want ?

Bone broth vs collagen powder
I've been looking at LCHF recipes which include collagen powder as an ingredient. I googled that to find out what it is. The answer scared me but then I read that bone broth has a useful supply of collagen. Does anyone take collagen powder or make bone broth? If so, how?

Low carb.....again.
In my never ending search for more low carb goodies to brighten my life I spend many an hour searching the web, there are numerous helpful sites and blogs. Another of my hunting grounds is Amazon, looking inside recipe books. The other day I discovered chaffles, a low carb waffle. Basically a batter

To Eat Meat or Not to Eat Meat: That is the question.
Ok, so I was going through the modules of KidneySchool.org and ran across this: "But What About a Low Protein Diet? If you have chronic kidney disease, your doctor may suggest a low protein diet. Some doctors believe that eating less protein may help the kidneys work a little longer. But doctors do

Increase in symptoms but peak flow normal?
Sorry for this long thread but I need some advice, I will also be sending a similar email to my specialist hoping she can help me out too. So at my last visit I was pursuaded to give fostair another go for my eosinophilic asthma as symbicort is not bringing the eosinophilic down enough. (Never got on

Hospital admission bad asthma with no wheeze
Went to A&E this morning after a terrible night. Went in with a really tight chest unable to speak or get air in or out properly. Was expecting problems as no wheeze. But to my surprise the doctor looking after me could see I was struggling and not responding well to Salbutamol nebs. ITU was mentioned

Prunes?
Hello all, I love prunes, but I just found out that prunes are an 'excellent source of Vitamin K', which helps blood clot. Since I'm on blood thinners, I'm wondering if I should avoid eating prunes...

Improved Fibroscan with low carb diet
HI everyone: After losing 75 pounds with a low carb diet (i weighed 225 due to an anti depressant), my Fibroscan total fat level went down from approximately 75%(over 325) to under 10% (225). The diet was very very challenging, but feeling proud that I did it...now to stay on the diet to keep blood

Asthma Apps
Hi, I was diagnosed with Asthma nearly 2 years ago, and today had my annual review. Very positive on the whole, good control, good inhaler technique and my personal best peak flow has improved.. however she has advised me to be particularly vigilant this hay fever season (my biggest trigger), as I'm

Losing weight too fast?
I was reading around and I came across some suggestions that if you lose weight too quickly that your body goes into starvation lockdown, you stop losing weight and it hampers your ongoing weight-loss. Does anyone have any experience of this please? To give context, over a 29 week period, I've lost 28.5

Lunch inspirations
As some newbies have joined recently I thought you might like to see my lunch today. I only eat two meals a day, low carb, high fat.
