Good news, it can be reversed.
Good news . I have reversed my F2 to F0 in two years through low carb diet and exercise. Loose weight, clean diet and exercise really work. Be optimistic.

Non STEMI
I am new here, I had a non STEMI 2 months ago and was prescribed the most common medications, I.e. Ticegralor, Bisoprolol, Artovastatin and Aspirin. I was fortunate that the angiogram and subsequent ultrasound indicated there was no apparent damage to the heart muscle and I have recovered fully. No

Costochondritis treatment
Had a phone appointment with my gp yesterday , recent tests have ruled out cardiac causes so I have to do two weeks of peak flow tests as I get a very tight chest with increased heart rate walking uphill and send the results to her , she said it could be linked to my costochondritis . Has anyone had

Asthma symptoms
Hi all, just wondering if anyone gets the same issue as me. So my peak flow etc is ok but at the moment I feel like it's harder to breath. Not like gasping for air but more like it's more effort. I am coughing up mucus but I think that's due to smoking. I am trying to stop but it's so hard It's really

Latest Test results. What to try next.....
I've been on Levo for 12 months. I will be talking to my GP next week who will probably say my results are fine. My main problem is digestive and lower abdominal bloating with constipation a major factor. GP test results(only tests TSH and T4, tested 20th Oct) TSH1.29 range (0.27-4.2) T4 18.1 range

Calcium supplements - continued
I have been reading the replies to Narwhal with interest, and note that calcium carbonate is not a good idea. I avoid any supplements generally, but I have wondered about taking a little calcium, vitamin D, and Vitamin K. I have just looked at the ones for sale on the Boots website, and found that the

Associations between osteoporosis and drug exposure: a post-marketing study of the World Health Organization pharmacovigilance database
This is a comprehensive paper on the impact of medicines on bone density, osteoporosis and fracture. Thyroid hormones are listed but their impact appears considerably lower than for Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs), Methotrexate, Steroids, Hydroxychloroquine, and others. It is also often mentioned here

Measuring peak flow
I had to get a new peak flow meter last week and have been having real problems with consistency. When I first used the new unit (different make to the previous one) I was shocked at how high my reading came out but know that different meters can vary. When I do my three readings, it is incredibly inconsistent

Call asthma doctor? She doesn’t help much. Long term prednisone.
It seems like the fall often bothers my asthma. I was hospitalized in fall 2019 for 6 days for severe asthma exacerbation. Then COVID started. I’ve been on oral prednisone since fall 2019. I’m on daily 25 mg. My doctor is trying to lower the pred. She says it’s not doing anything now my body is just

When flecainide is given as a bonus intravenously. Is it always with dextrose?
Does anyone know if flecainide is given with anything else.I was given it with dextrose 2 days ago. I looked it up, it is made from corn starch. I am highly allergic. I became ill immediately and now can’t get out of bed. The doctor ( who knew about my allergies) said it could only be given with dextrose

Standby Vitamin K for warfarin users
A warfarin question (I’m 6 weeks post op): I eat some Vit K foods every day and try to keep it consistent, like a salad every lunchtime or other green veg or spinach quiche (small portion). So far my INR has been fine. Today we had to throw the salad out as it had gone off, so I had an egg and some avocado

White Meat
I am trying to sort out the benefit (or, detriment) of white meat in regard to liver health. There are many advocates of a plant based diet who will say that all meats (red, white, fish) are detrimental in some form. There are, of course, advocates of low carb diets who will say that all meat (including
