Which diet?
Hello, I'm newly diagnosed with heart failure, it was detected during a recent hospital admittance for sepsis (how long I've actually had it is unknown). Until I became ill I was following a high-fat low carb diet and losing weight nicely. However, after being diagnosed I want to eat healthily to help

Nearly 8 months off the fags
Well con't believe how easy I've found giving up the dreaded cancer sticks after 35 years, couldn't have done it without Champix and my lovely smoking cesation nurse Sara, whom I have become great friends with, we meet up once a month to have a gossip which is great. Yes champix was horrid at times but

Vitamin K and K2
I see people talk about Vitamin K2. How is that different from plain old vitamin K. I was in a Walgreens yesterday. All they had was regular vitamin K. Anything wrong or deficient with that?

Low Carbing It!
Hey everyone - can’t believe the weekend is nearly over again! Anyhoo, just thought I’d say hi - me and my husband are low carb dieting - so far we’ve both lost 13lbs each - trouble is everything that’s tastes so good is so full of carbs! I’ll post progress on here and any tips I think are useful if

ANTI-INFLAMMATORY
I've been reading the National Review of Asthma Deaths after the news last week on the increase in asthma deaths. I was diagnosed with asthma in January this year (54 with no history of asthma), after a hospital stay I'm managing very well on anti-histamines (over the counter) and Relvar Elipta 92/22

Calcium sources if also intolerant to dairy?
Hi. I am over-posting as I'm new to this site, but finding it really helpful. Another query I have is for those of you who are coeliac but have also become allergic/intolerant to dairy. I have osteopena (poor bone density). Since cutting out gluten I have been taking a vitamin D supplement and was prescribed

Slowly getting into and used to LCHF. Coconut... Good or bad?! And how to work out how much Protein you should have a day?! Advice needed.
Hi. I've been slowly for the last 2 weeks reducing my carbs, and increasing my healthy fats. I've cut out bread, and grains, breakfast cereal now. With starting to look at what new things i'm supposed to eat, and being vegan for a long time. I bought a vegan keto 30 day cook book arrived 2 days ago

Overmedicated? And what to do.
Hi guys. First a quick apology. I didn't reply to any of the helpful comments in my previous post because I've gone through a month from hell. All feedback was greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. In fact, I took some of the advice that I was able to and have run into a predicament. I increased
