Starting again!
I am just restarting after an accident this February when my shirt caught fire when I was cooking. I couldn't move for months because of pain from skin grafts and general recovery but I have now done one rep of week 1's run and for my second run I have moved onto week 2 which I could manage. I plan

Votes are needed
Many people don't realise that their thyroid illness is caused by Lyme Disease and/or other chronic infections. Please vote for this wonderful group which is raising awareness of Lyme Disease. It was started and is run by two victims of the disease, one of whom was treated for thyroid illness for many

Skin Cancer
I was diagnosed with basal skin cancer. The spot was on my right side of my nose and I was wondering if this has anything to do with Lupus? Has anyone else been dx with this? If so, how was it removed?

Shin splints?
Does this sound like
shin
splints
? It's only in one leg and most painful about two inches below the bottom of my knee cap. Injury couch for me I think! I also get bad blisters on the balls of my feet again yesterday. Sick of getting pains whenever I run at the moment.

Is calf trouble 'to be expected' with PMR/Pred?
., just the feeling like cramp might be coming on, or having all round
shin
splints
. It goes when I stop so I just stop now and again. Doctor wants to do pulse tests etc. Anyone else currently with this experience and advice on next steps (hehe no pun intended!)?

ITP Symptoms after 30 years
The only thing I can think that might have caused this is that I've been taking larger than normal qualities of Advil due to hip pain,
shin
splints
and plantar fasciitis not caused by running, but by various classes I take at the gym, mostly Barre classes. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Dermatology Appointment Update
Hello everyone I had my long-awaited Dermatology Appointment yesterday which had to be the shortest consultation I've ever had!. It was good news that I don't have skin cancer but I was given a diagnosis of Bowens Disease which is a pre-cursor to it. The lesion I have is coming off in November, not sure

Should I be concerned
I saw on my blood results "occasional" anisocytosis, poikilocytosis, burr cells, ovalocytes and schistocytes. Is this normal for CLL or is this sign of progression?

Radioiodine - do I have unusual resistance?
I've decided to try to understand my situation better before my next appointment with my oncologist. I had a total thyroidectomy for papillary thyroid cancer in 2013, a lump in my right thyroid lobe, followed by 1.1GBq radioiodine ablation shortly after. Six months later I had a follow up ultrasound

I think I have
shin
splints
as all the symptoms are there. I have my first 5k on Sunday so resting for a week or so isn't an option. I do have ankles that bend in slightly so don't that's helping.

Time to come back to the fold!
but then
shin
splints
struck and landed me straight back on the couch again! Well, it's taken the best part of a year and a half to get off it (other than for work, food, kids and sleep of course!)

Shin splints
Has anyone had problems with
shin
splints
? This is the second that I've nearly reached the 5k but have developed
shin
splints
in the final few weeks. I've had to stop as even walking was an issue for weeks after.
