Effective body washes for HS
Hi, Hello to everyone on this site.......... I have suffered with HS since I was 18 (now 55!). I have had countless prescriptions for antibiotics, and had 2 underarm surgeries - each side -the latter being in 1998 when I required skin grafts, in 1998. I have HS in armpits, groin, inner thighs and under

SHIN SPLINTS :(
OK, so I was a complete idiot yesterday and decided it was OK to do a 200m sprint to the train station in flip flops (before anyone asks, I did make it onto my train on time) but now, I have horrible pain in my left shin on the outside. What on earth was I thinking? I have spent a lot of money getting

C25K > 10k Steeplechase!
I managed 5 or 6 of them before I suffered terrible
shin
splints
which completely put me off for a few months. A friend signed up for a 10k Steeplechase (29th October) and asked me to do it with him so with the desire to run still with me, I signed up.

Vasculitis and skin cancer
I was diagnosed with Wegener's in 2002 aged 54. After a year of heavy medication and not feeling too good I got back to something I could cope with. I have kidney involvement and at one stage they were preparing me for dialysis. However, my last 3 blood readings have been 26 eGFR, which has been a

I had agonising pain in my legs which I thought were

Meds 4 Anesthetic isoflurane has been shown to promote Alzheimer’s disease (AD) neuropathogenesis
I won't be posting this article unless asked. It is a very heavy clinical read (statistics experimental model etc - Way above my reading age) of tests done on mice only.
You might want to read my summary at the bottom first!

Shin pain pity party :(
Anyone got any experience with
shin
splints
/
shin
pain? What were the things that helped get you back out there? Been advised to 'toe tap' (tap toes 20 times) and to use KT tape by a colleague. I'm feeling frustrated and sorry for myself, any advise welcome :) Thank you!

About to start C25K - advice appreciated
I've been reading posts on here about overweight people (I'm including myself there) starting C25K and suffering from things like
shin
splints
. Apart from recently starting cycling I've done NO exercise since school, i'm now 47.

W1r3 so painful 😫
So today I did week 1 run 3 and was in absolute agony the whole way through with
shin
splints
:( has anyone else had this? Guessing it's because I'm not used to running? I don't want to stop as I've just signed up to my first 5k bubble run on July for 2 hospice charities.

Those pesky shins!
I was a keen runner last year, got to about 7k 3 times a week before I was struck down with
shin
splints
...may actually have been a stress fracture as I couldn't run for 6 months.

Reduction in Levothyroxine or lyme?
Hi, I was told by my GP to reduce my Levo from 125mg to !00mg as my TSH levels were low on two occasions. I feel dreadful today croaky voice, muscle ache and have been in bed all afternoon as soooooo tired. I ended up in hospital three weeks ago as I had a funny turn, vision cloudy and thought I was

Vitamin D3 and D2 test result - I haven't got a clue but nor did the GP's receptionist
Hello again. My vitamin D tests are finally in at the doctors and all I could get from the receptionist over the phone were the following levels - initially she claimed that there was nothing written behind the numbers i.e. unit or range, but after another phone call she has given nmol/l as the unit.

My Story
Hello, I am new to this site but realise now that I might need the support and help of fellow sufferers of Lymphoedema. When I was 30 years old in 1982 I had testicular cancer and following an orchidectomy I was told the histology showed I had a seminoma and after 3 weeks of radiotherapy on my abdomen

Another new experience - but not a good one😰
And I need to find a few exercises specifically for
shin
splints
- any ideas welcome! And, of course, I will be reading avidly here and trying not to go green with envy. Â Happy running, everybody!
