Ringworm
Hello, over the past few months I’ve been coming out in episodes of ringworm, I am a mixed martial artist so it can be common when doing jiu jitsu. However recently I have no training in nearly two months and I have had ring worm 3 times, I’m constantly changing my bedding so it’s clean, my towels everything

Perfect run???
From minor things like having to slow pace to get through muddy patches throwing off my rythym to
shin
splints
5 mins in. Anyone else feel like this,or am I just unlucky/whining???? 😁

Week 9, Run 3 completed !
I can’t recommend enough that good running shoes make ALL the difference to performance and keep injury at bay, also I’ve been wearing lower leg compression footless socks as running years ago I got
shin
splints
, but not this time.

week 5 - bad shin splints but I don't want to give up? :(
After doing three runs here on concrete, I have horrible
shin
splints
. If I haven't stood up for a while then I have to limp, like in the mornings, it hurts loads and I have to hobble around. After walking around for a bit (I stand at work all day) or during my runs it's not too bad.

What to do after prolonged injury
Hi All, I’ve been benched due to
shin
splints
for about 2 months, clearly I don’t want to go out all guns blazing only to injure myself but I’m not sure what to do. I should say that I had graduated in November but I’m wondering whether I should start the c25k programme again or something else?

Phew! W9R1 done
I’ve suffered from
shin
splints
and am cautious of going any sort of speed downhill as this is when I seem to do some damage. Any suggestions on how to develop speed safely downhill?

Misleading titles
Hello admin.. I just wondered if you should remove or have the title changed on the post regarding measles as without reading further it could be interpreted as downplaying measles? I could not post response as you had blocked replies but post still in place. Just a thought!

Measles topic
I was unable to edit my post. I was going to add: Chippysue, perhaps you are referring to rubella, the 3-day measles, as opposed to RUBEOLA, the more virulent and serious viral illness. Rubeola is a nasty and dangerous virus. People do die from it.

Appendectomy - when is ok to run again?
I had been training to run 10K by May & prior to the surgery I had already rested 3 weeks due to
shin
splints
. I can’t seem to find any information on when it will be safe to start running again after keyhole surgery, just wondered if anyone was in a position to offer advice? Thanks

Week 6 Run 1! Continuing c25k after a stress fracture... slow and steady :)
Story time :) So around week 4 in October, I kept pushing on with what I thought were
shin
splints
- till one day after running 2 minutes I physically could not put any weight on my leg anymore. The pain was pinching. It turned out to be a stress fracture in my right Tibia.

After the previous run I did a bit of research into
shin
splints
, as my symptoms seem related. A few sources suggested compression socks. A quick trawl through amazon and I’m now the owner of a pair of compression socks.

Running gear for Valentine’s
I’m currently on the subs bench with
shin
splints
, so my fantastic wife bought me compression shorts and and socks to help with my symptoms and to help stop them happening again. I’m a lucky guy!

Shin splint advice
Following some great advice here, I have been to a specialist shop, had a gait analysis and bought some more appropriate shoes which will hopefully help with my
shin
splints
(for me pain on outside front of
shin
).

Athlete’s foot
Week 8, Run 2 complete and I’m 60! Happy with progress even though I’m slow but I have Athlete’s foot. Wanted to finish the programme before going on holiday next week. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, did you stop until it healed?
