Lurgy again!
And some days
running
is simply not possible and "rest"(*) really is the best idea! Happy
running
and rowing and exercising for those who can! (* apart from school runs, shopping and cooking and looking after the family.)

8k with good hair!
The highlight was
running
into my favourites
running
buddy. Stopping to play with a cat should be a part of all runs! Anyone got any ridiculous excuses to rival my “but my hair looks nice today?” one?!! Happy

Recent 5k graduate.
Hi all, recently reached the magic 5k, had a few issues along the way but as long as I take things easy and warm up and cool down properly my body (mainly knees) seem to be able to cope👍 Anyhow it would appear the
running
bug has really bitten, I try and get out 2 or 3 times a week,

Began running at 62
Took time out for an injury this summer (not
running
related), and I'm back going out again. Keep going you can do it. Best decision I've ever made!

Downloaded app!
I recently read an article about the benefits of short ‘brisk’ walks for getting fitter rather than long slow ones (I wonder if that is the same for
running
🤔 - although I have one
running
pace, very slow 😂).

WEEKLY CHAT 17th - 23rd June: care free running 🙂👟🏃😁🫖
Is your
running
care free? Are you having fun? I'm tentatively, and slowly, making my way through the NRC HM plan; spacing runs out to try to avoid injury. I'm just loving being out there
running
pain free again.

Medals, Glorious Medals
Runr, a local
running
clothing company is collecting the medals people don’t want anymore so that they can be used to inspire school children and other groups to get
running
. More of the initiative on here: https://runr.co.uk/pages/medals-for-kids So why don’t I want these?

Loss of fitness after break
I began
running
in 2014. This year, up until March, I was
running
3 times a week, 10km on tuesdays and thursdays, and 18km on sundays. Then I got hit with a flu/cold. After 3 weeks off, I found the maximum I could manage on Sunday was 12km, before needing to walk run.

Slaying the treadmill demons on Global Running Day
A nice bonus was that Garmin awarded me a badge for
running
on Global
Running
Day. I’ve no idea what that is, but I’m more pleased than I should be with some meaningless digital bling. Anyone else the same? Anyone else
running
today?

Running growth
Hi everyoneI've just completed couch to 5k and love it. Few questions, How do I carry on without Jo Whiley? How do I run further? How do I go from treadmill to outside? Or should I mix them up? Cheers Mel

Running for PSPA
So proud of my middle grandson, James Weston as he ran in the Royal Parks Half Marathon this morning in aid of the PSPA, as part of his preparation for
running
the London Marathon next Spring. He's did it in memory of his beloved Grandpa who lost his battle Christmas 2019.

6 Year Runniversary Today
I read that I should return to
running
slowly, keep my HR low, and maybe run/walk for the first few outings..
