Since graduating from C25K I’ve continued to jog 3 times a week and have managed to extend to doing 5K without stopping, so was feeling pleased but needed a new challenge. Decided to try Bridge to 10K so downloaded the podcasts ( I can’t get the Nike app as my phone doesn’t support it).
Thought the idea of running four lots of 10 minutes with 1 minute break after each sounded very doable, having run for 38 minutes non stop previously! How wrong I was, I did do it but was surprised how hard that last 10 minutes felt. I wonder if I focus on the end too much, which meant that I had four endings rather than just the one when I don’t stop. Next time will try thinking of it as a 40 minute run, so the minute’s walk in the middle is just a bonus rather than an ending,.
Hope that makes sense, it’s a bit garbled! Anyone else find several shorter runs just as tiring as a long one?

Congratulations and welcome to Bridge! Have a browse around the pinned posts-you’ll find lots of plans and the weekly quest posts which are a nice source of support and a good place to see how everyone’s getting on!
I don’t know that particular app but glad you’ve found something that you liked the look of. You can always adapt any run to suit you. I find when I know I’ve got waking breaks, I run faster so I can get tired more easily running 4x10 minutes than 40 minutes. Brains are funny things! You’ll get there. Just keep up the good work and you’ll have that 10k badge before you know it.
