Having been away for a week, I was keen to get back into the jogging habit, although it’s far too hot for me at the moment. I’m definitely a cold weather exerciser. So I was excited to buy some running shorts, which had a Lycra inner short with a flared over short to cover those bobbly bits I didn’t want to reveal!
Waited till 6.40pm to let the air cool a bit but it was still too warm for me really. And am gutted the shorts let me down, as soon as I started jogging the inner leg rolled up and I ended up with shocking thigh burn! Kept having to stop to roll the legs down, so even though I managed 5K, I feel I didn’t do well as I usually try to keep going without stopping.
Shorts consigned to gardening duty and think I may have to start going out first thing if the good weather stays with us. Anyone any tips for stopping shorts rolling up? (except having thinner thighs obviously!)

Oh poor you! Sometimes kit just doesn’t behave itself. I haven’t had this issue with shorts-perhaps it’s worth trying a different brand/style. My favourite ones are Goodmove Go Move M and S
Knees are the answer... like you I prefer the colder weather but as a lady of a certain age, my knees are not seen in public and they are a very useful anchor for running leggings. I find cropped/capri length are fine for me in warmer temperatures. I prefer to have lighter weight on top with short/vest tops.
