What patches?
So my plan yesterday was to go to the gym and put my patch on after.... only I forgot to put the patch on and any time I remembered I wasn't in a place to do it or I didn't have it on me... before I know it the day is done and I haven't had the patch on all day. Ive just been using the big patches and

Almost at 6 months and stopped the NRT
Hi Lovely People On the 12th July I will be at 6 months. What a battle this has been but so worth it. NRT patches, gums and dissolvable strips have really helped me disassociate from physically lighting up. I've let myself have as much or as little as I wanted. Just stop the cravings. One week ago I

Important dietary information for diabetics and people with eczema or psoriasis.
I know that my diet had a great deal to do with it. and my
smoking
did to (so I
quit
after 30 plus years of
smoking
. even 2 cigarettes a day is too much and suggestion that 2 won't make a difference is, in my opinion irresponsible . you can only tell if this is true for you, by acting on a very basic

I really hate this!
I have just been comparing this to when I
quit
smoking
and what I did to counter cravings when I was driving. Chewing gum and... barking. I would actually start to spontaneously bark like a dog at passing traffic.

SO I
quit
smoking
, it was difficult but more so on those arround me who angered me; it didnt take much. Am I happy that I stopped, I think so, deffinatly feel more of an individual rather than a member of the pack of smokers huddled together (for warmth) outside the pub.

My goal
I have tried before to lose weight but I lack the will power, but I have just
quit
smoking
so I can do this, although looking at my desk right now I'm stuck between my punnet of strawberries and the pack of Tesco Cookie and Cream cookies.

I previously tried to
quit
before using Chantix and
quit
smoking
for 1 month , b it I was unable to tolerate the increased dose of the medication and failed as everyone in my life seems to smoke and I caved into again as a matter of routine.

Quit Smoking Attitude
I was a chain smoker. one fine day I quit and today is 7th day. It's not impossible, justa matter of realising that you rule your mind. People aeound me rather than encouraging me, mock my decision calling it temporary and all. But my body is under my control. I must congratulate folks out there who

Hi everyone, it's been ages since I have been on this site but I wanted you all to know that I am a non smoker!!! 16 months now since I gave up and it's not been easy. Running away from Smoking
But the facts are simple - it's just over one year since I
quit
smoking
and started running and even though I've bought rather a lot of running shoes, a gps watch, shorts, t-shirts, etc.

Is changing your behaviour really that important?
Evidence shows that if a smoker uses a service such as
Quit
Support, their local stop
smoking
service or NRT (or both), then they are more likely to still be stopped at 4 weeks. If they stop for at least 28 days, then they are more likely to stay stopped longer.

Is it primary of secondary or do I have polycythemia at all , no doctor is able to confirm ?
I have been
smoking
for last 8 years, but have
quit
smoking
for last two months. The levels still does not seem to have reduced. My oxygen saturation level is however at 99 , but doctor says it will take 15 , 20 years for a person with secondary polycythemia to show lower oxygen levels.

Hi everyone, I gave up smoking 2 weeks and 4 days ago. I was really poorly with a chest infection and I was really scared with the wheezing in my chest, that I thought "why the hell " am I still trying to inhale nicotine, so I've gone cold turkey since then. I feel so much better, no wheezing at all

PBC and smoking
I have
quit
smoking
since my AMA has come back positive. My question is, does anyone know if a HISTORY of smoking has a huge effect on PBC?? I'm so scared that my history of smoking will cause the the PBC progress faster than usual or something.
