Completed for the 2nd time!
Having
quit
smoking
too at that time I was using the running programme as a way of helping me through the no-smoking phase, when it stopped - the smoking didn’t start but the weight gain did. 2 extra stone to be exact.

Can I get off Nicotine without replacing with another vice?
I
quit
smoking
at the same time I
quit
drinking BUT have been addicted to Nicorette Quickmist for over 3 years now. I am trying to quit the Quickmist. I am so addicted to it, in the past I have trashed my house trying to find a pack and been late to meetings etc in order to buy some first.

Quitting smoking
I am trying my hardest to
quit
smoking
. I have smoked 1 to 2 packs a day for 23 years. I am trying my hardest to quit this nasty habit. Going on a month of between 5 to 7 a day, each time I have a cigarette I get mad at myself and discouraged. I have nicorette gum but I am skeptical of it.

Perfect last cigarette
I have been wanting to
quit
smoking
for a very very long time. I know it's an illusion but it feels very true that cigarettes have helped me deal with many life situations and have been my "friend" in getting over lots of crap.

He has something going on with swallowing and now anaemia which the doctor is saying could be linked to long term

. My dad is really positive and grateful he

Smoking
I’ve just
quit
smoking
after 43 years of a pack a day. Do I need my bloods monitored more regularly at the moment as I have read thyroid problems and smoking can be related, I’m wondering by now not smoking would this have some affect on the thyroid positively or negatively

Experiment
I tried the stop-
smoking
patch but
quit
because the odor/taste was irritating. But I tried it again and there was no odor. The ingredient list includes ethanol, camphor and spice. Any of those might be aromatic.

I am new here
Hello everyone, I am on the count down for my
quit
smoking
journey and I have my NRT ready. Tomorrow is the day as it would give me a couple of days before going back to work. My partner is not ready to give up but my daughter is excited and proud of me.

Nightmare November over but what’s to come ?
I’ve read all of the things on the internet about nicotine being bad for T,but to be honest I might not have got to today without cracking up completely There are lots of good reasons to
quit
smoking
and I really do enjoy a cigarette but at times it gets out of hand and I’m sure that’s not good….I welcome

Why is there no help for people who quit smoking?
I was willing to kill my self slowly for years with cigarettes. Throw away my money and not think twice about it. Paying high taxes that go to the general fund and not to quit programs. Harassed and mistreated by anti smokers. But!!!! Then I quit and find no help or resources. No answers to why I lived

Stoptober!
Still
smoking
? But you need to
quit
. Many cancer patients still smoke or need help to
quit
smoking
. So why not join millions of people and
quit
this October. Stoptober is a nationwide service where the N.H.S. provide help and support.

Where am I heading
My main goal was exercise to help
quit
smoking
. Now I can run 5k but embarrassingly still smoke.I know I’m the archetypal joke, work colleagues who are runners think I’m crackers. I’m looking for ideas on where to go next.
