I was a drinker for a long time - now 3+ years sober.
I quit smoking at the same time I quit drinking BUT have been addicted to Nicorette Quickmist for over 3 years now.
I am trying to quit the Quickmist. I am so addicted to it, in the past I have trashed my house trying to find a pack and been late to meetings etc in order to buy some first.
I am on day 1 so far and miserable. Eating a lot of chocolate and imagining I will gain weight if I quit Quickmist.
I am just thinking that I will surely replace this vice with another that will take off just as strong as the quickmist addiction and that will have its own issues.
I have tried 'healthy' activities and foods but I do not seem to 'want' to do any of them enough and always look for a 'vice'. Maybe because I know they are bad??

Hi Nicquitter7 Maybe try some other kind of hobby. Exercise would have been my first suggestion, but you have already said that not for you. How about gardening or photography something alittle less strenuous
Hmmmmm. Maybe you haven’t waited long enough to really gain a keep fit/workout habit or good eating habit. I’ll bet if you start really getting into those things for a good year, get results, I reckon you could gain those healthy habits. I Donaldo think they’re great distracted from the elephant that’s undoubtedly often smack bang in the middle of the rooms you enter….😁🙋🏻♀️✨
