AF and Acute Bronchitis
I have had AFib for many years. I am a 78 yr old male have a pacemaker and had an ablation about a year ago, am on warfarin. The end of March 2017 I became sick and was given a chest x-ray. Dr. thought I might have pneumonia, turned out I had acute bronchitis. I was prescribed Biaxin and prednisone.

Mouth sore and shredded.
Hi! I've been on my B-12 shots and iron infusion for a full month and after the last loading session I developed a shredding of the skin on inside of my mouth. Been using a peroxide mouth rinse to help with the pain. Anyone else experience this? I'm also experiencing fatigue again after feeling energized

Hemolytic enemia??
I have had terrible issues with my red blood counts. Even after transfusions they would fall back down. I eventually had to see a hematologist before I could continue with chemo. Long story short- my body is destroying my red blood cells very quickly despite the increase in production of them. I

Upset stomach following B-12 shots and Iron infusion along with bouts of diarrhea

Low platelets and no taste - Venetoclax- Day 45
Mum has been out of hospital for a week and a half!! :) :) the minute she got out she felt a bit better, though incredibly weak and still needing a wheelchair. But oh so happy!! :) it makes such a difference not being there anymore and not having a hospital mattress to sleep on. Although we are still

Stem cell breakthroughs bring unlimited supply of lab-made blood closer
[i]'For the first time ever, blood-producing stem cells have been generated in a lab. Two separate teams of researchers have come up with differing ground-breaking methods to generate these important blood-forming cells, paving the way for the development of treatments for a variety of blood diseases

Endometriosis and its many forms..
Endometriosis wasn't the first thought when I turned 10 and got my first period. Except for the fact I bled every day for two years until doctors finally would see me after the continuous hospital visits to receive blood transfusions. I went through pads, thickest kinds, and even diapers. At that age

Mass spotted on breast, biopsy day before debulking surgery. Debunking surgery early Jan. Confirmed OC or falopian tube cancer 3C (caveats

Commencing Venetoclax
She's very weak, no appetite, now getting blood and
platelet
transfusions
....she's very low and is almost at the point of not wanting to go further. Has anyone else experienced similar on Venetoclax- did it take a while to improve lymph node size? Any side effects?

Stressed over macrocytic anemia HELP
Met my significant other 9 years ago. He was anemic at that time with a hgb of 96. He at the age of 28 had been in a car accident and had to have a transfusion way back before he could have surgery. The hemotologist had followed him for the last 12 years as his hgb has declined with time to having transfusions

Much needed prayers for dad...please!
My dad was admitted to the hospital yesterday because of pain he was having in his back and he was experiencing extreme fatigue. While he was very dehydrated and has low magnesium and potassium counts , they also did another scan this evening on his back which shows he has a new tumor in the spine.

Ferritin level....still low
Booo! My ferritin level is still so low. I increased my oral vitamin for a month before the second level and only 2 days with the patch. Still have hope for that. I've heard Johns Hopkins does transfusions. Anyone else have information on transfusions ?
