Recurring headaches
Hi, I have been suffering with headaches for about 6 months now. I managed to get rid of them about 1 month ago but they came back again shortly after. I am seeing a physio, get a deep tissue massage and have seen an osteopath but they are still present. I’m at my wits end as they won’t seem to go away

Have you ever tried a Bioness type device?
Hi, my new Physical therapist asked me if i wanted to try the bioness to get rid of the walker. win/win, right? so i tried it today but it was painful and made my ankle go out instead of up. so i guess it's not for me. Or maybe I'll try again after it gets upgraded. For those people unfamiliar it is

Air Physio.
I was diagnosed with IPF in April 2018. Although I have learned to live with it with ambulatory oxygen, I recently contracted Covid and again, although recovering slowly, my oxygen needs have increased. Someone recommended and bought me an AirPhysio, but I'm wondering if it will it do my condition any

Not a fail, but not a success either!
Hi everyone, hope you’re all doing OK. I haven’t posted on here for a while but I’ve been recovering from injury. Happily I’m on the mend now thanks to an excellent physio I found courtesy of a couple of lovely running friends on Strava.😊 Anyway, today I set out to run 16 km in preparation for the Vitality

How to get a referral?
Hi there 2 years ago I was referred to a rheumatologist for ongoing pain and stiffness. They couldn't find anything particularly wrong and the issues subsided so they discharged me back to physio and my GP. Obviously then we had Covid, and tbh I wasn't too bad, but this year the symptoms have come back

There is hope a view from seven months down the line
I thought it might be encouraging for some at the beginning of their journey to read a relative success story from 7 months down the line. I am 67 hand an elective operation for an aneurysm and aortic valve replacement. Cardiac arrest during op and blood clot in lungs in following day resulting in having

Week 1 done. Bit sore
Third run seemed harder - maybe cos it’s warm today? Also, bottom of right foot started hurting, which has got me worried that I might get a recurrence of plantar fasciitis that I had a few years ago. Took 2 years and lots of physio to get rid of it! Did lots of foot rolling over rolling pin and normal

Help request for newbie with hamstring knee pain
After completing C25K a few months back I was really enjoying my 3 runs a week on a treadmill and looking forward to progressing to running outdoors and trying my local Park Runs. Unfortunately, within a few weeks of finishing I started getting a lot of pain in the back of my left knee. A telephone physio

Functional b12 deficiency despite normal tests? Issues of right calf wasting/myopathy?
Hello, I'm interested in finding out if anyone has similar symptoms or experiences to me as I'm trying to work out if b12 is the culprit of my issues or even a major factor. Any information would be useful as I've had 5 years of 'we don't know' from medical profession. I'm 34 and in 2015 when I lived

Sharing DBS Journey
Hi, Just wanted to share my dad's process in case it will help anyone... He was diagnosed at 54 years old and will be 70 next month. He is rigidity dominant, experiences freezing of gait (mainly in initiating) and has dyskinesias from his meds (among many other PD symptoms!). Up until almost two years

Soft tissue massage and relief, relief, relief!!!
I noticed yesterday afternoon my left Tubi-grip on my leg was wet. My leg was leaking a clear liquid...no open sore, just coming through the tissue. In the morning my sheets were wet and I could see drops on my lower leg in a few places...even with my eyes. I called my primary care and his nurse wrote

CRPS. Who oversees treatment?
My daughter (15) was diagnosed with CRPD in April. She was diagnosed by a paediatric Orthopeadic surgeon who referred her to Paediatric Rheumotoglogist in Alder Hey. It appears that they have rejected the referral, saying she should be seen by someone on the wirral. Who should be overseeing her care?

Bandaging not having much effect
I have lymphoedema in my left arm which has gotten worse recently as I had a BC recurrence and needed 33 radiotherapy to axilla as well as chemo in the last year. Lymphedema evaluation yesterday and PT coming up
What is going on in my body now is a first for my. I feel like I'm wearing a metal girdle around my back and swing two poles of concrete when I move my legs. I can stand for 10-15 minutes, then have to sit to stop the back pain. After a short rest I get up and do it again. Looking one foot ahead
