Rushing ahead with adaptations
Hi I just joined tonight as I'm feeling a bit desperate! My husband sustained a brain injury on 20th July- not quite a fortnight ago. He was knocked from his bike and subsequently had a brain clot which couldn't be dispersed. He has profound weakness down the left side and is in rehab since Friday 23rd

How long did it take to get diagnosed
How long does it take to get diagnosed with fibromyalgia my doctor seems to think I have it but all my blood tests have come back clear my previous doctor got to this point and just fobbed me off and I don’t think I could go through that again. He says the next step for me is a physio assessment I don

Definitely feeling better!
Yesterday I went out for the first run of the new week (with the run increased in time) and I'm definitely feeling a little more oiled and less creaky! I'm feeling like I'm remembering how to run again, which is reassuring. It was an increase of 10% on last week's runs of 30 minutes, so the run was 33

Should I have the laparoscopy?
I have had very irregular periods my whole life, a couple of occasions I’ve continued to bleed after my period should have finished or my period returned within a week. I get a lot of back pain and feels like I have a fork scratching away at my uterus especially in the weeks leading to my period. Sometimes

This is my physical therapist at the Minneapolis VA. Sara King is also a good PD therapist. Both have many videos.
Hillari Olson VA PD physical therapist. These are her high intensity sessions. I do 3/week of her easier sessions. "Sideways step ups, forward stepping, sit to stand: Exercise for PD" 5:47 min video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTuhTMpNIWM https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCULkqyhtZZ6awsNdrFezyXQ

Lung Function Tests
I’ve been referred to
physiotherapy
for “potential dysfunctional breathing” and have been waiting since May 2020. I also completed a cardiopulmonary exercise bike test which showed a potential heart problem but now they’re saying it’s just over breathing.

Ejaculation return
I read a post on here quite awhile back from someone who was using pelvic floor physical therapy to address various post treatment issues. I decided to follow up to see if it could help with my intermittent ED and/or my constant no ejaculation and aorgasma (two related but diff things for me). Took

interesting info re. steroid injections
Hi all my next rheum appointment is 9th August so I'm keeping my posts to only when I have something useful to offer! I had physio Thursday and we discussed steroid pills versus injections. To recap I had requested injection into my shoulder (although all my arms joints hurt, the right was agony) but

Is there any support I can find in Punjabi?
She is in pain daily and has helped in terms of medication and some
physiotherapy
but her condition seems to be getting worse. I think she could really benefit from knowing there are other people she can talk to and turn to for advice.

Has your experience with therapy for chronic pain helped you?
After thinking about going to therapy for a year, I finally got the courage to reach out and ask for help. I've been going to therapy for chronic pain for the past month now and I'm getting impatient about the progress I'm making. Logically, I know it will take a lot of time and I need to be patient

How long did it take for burnout headaches to completely go away?
Hi, I had a burnout a few months ago... started with daily headaches that wouldn't go away.. I took some time off work and got some treatment in the way of therapy, physio and massage. I have returned to work and the headaches are a lot better now but still present. Anyone here experienced anything

C25K or HM25K
I just ran my first full 5K since I've started the C25K course. I am intended to finish this course, even though I managed to run 5K without a break or interval. In total, this track took me 41 minutes and 22 seconds, but that is including the warm up and the cooling down. But ... this isn't actually

Dexa Scan
Hi, quick update from my last post. I had a Dexa Scan last week. Not had all the results back yet or a chat with the consultant but was told from comparing the scan from last year, I have grown 10 cm. I will be interesting to see how my multiple fractures of the spine have progress (hopefully). I now

Thoughts on Acupuncture
I wondered what people thought of acupuncture. I ask because I have been in the most dreadful place with pain from muscles to the point last week where I literally couldn't walk after getting up with the muscle spasms and the pain shot to the top. I have been under a physio on the NHS and could not
