Firstly accept my apologies if this has been asked but does anyone else think there PMR may have kicked off following a Covid infection.
I had it in December and feel everything relates back to then.one of my symptoms was joint/muscle pain.tried physio but only a blood test and getting so low put the GP on to this diagnosis

A lot of people have joined since the beginning of the year and quite a few think their PMR symptoms appeared after the jab, A lot of long standing patients have had flares.
It is certainly logical - as I said there, many people developed PMR or GCA soon after having a flu or shingles jab. And there is no single cause of either, it is an accumulation of insults to the immune system and eventually one thing is simply the straw that breaks the samel's back and tips the immune system into freefall. But it could be anything - and Long Covid does bear a lot of resemblances to PMR. PMR may be a pain in the anatomy - but it doesn't kill.
Often discussed over the last few months…maybe try typing COVID vaccine and PMR into search box…Post of a few hours ago - healthunlocked.com/pmrgcauk...
I am convinced my PMR was triggered by my second jab. Had Covid in January (fairly mild symptoms). First jab March, second jab 11th May. Mid May I was playing three rounds of golf a week and one gym session. End of May I could hardly walk. I reported on the yellow card scheme.
I developed PMR shortly after getting my first AZ jab but, at around the same time, I also did a lot of heavy work power washing a huge patio and lifting heavy paving slabs (I do this every year but somehow forget I'm getting older, now 71). So, who knows which broke the camels back.
