Some of you will remember my last post this week where I was desperate to reduce my fierce coughing. Anyway at least he did something

omeprazole and joint pain
I’ve been prescribed this while tests for liver/pancreatic disease are ongoing. I read the PIL with dismay when I saw joint pain listed as a side effect. I was screaming in my head “ doesn’t my GP understand that my joints hurt all the time already” 😝 Any way 3 weeks in at 40mg and yes my joints

LPR - anyone managed to tame or cure this condition?
After a year of LPR, I'm still struggling and symptoms are almost as bad as they have ever been, despite heavy medication and lifestyle changes. Recent bronchoscopy has confirmed that it is LPR. I am maxed out on esomeprazole and from 3 weeks ago swapped from peptac to Gaviscon Advance. Also, have domperidone

Rivaroxaban and PPI
To those of you taking Rivaroxaban, have you all been advised to take a PPI as well , such as Omeprazole, Lansoprazole? Maybe I should add , even though you have not been suffering from reflux or similar condition.

Success with with supplements/alternative treatments for Raynaud's (Curcumin, omega oils, magnesium oil)
I am still in the process of being diagnosed, but it looks like I have limited systemic scleroderma, with the main manifestations at the moment being Raynaud's, Gastroesophageal reflux disease, and itchy skin on my arms and legs. I take omeprazole for the GERD, which is working well. The Raynaud's symptoms

How long to get over PPI?
I have been off esomeprazole for 6 weeks but now am just getting worse and unable to eat much at all without symptoms. I went on the pills as a trial suggested by cardiologist for feeling if pressure in chest! I did not have regurgitation or stomach pain. I stopped them for endoscopy in December and

Esomprazole, stomach issues and calcium deficiency
When I was diagnosed with PMR in March 2021, I was prescribed Omeprazole and Alendronic Acid. The Omeprazole made sense as I have a history of stomach upsets. I resisted the AA until a DEXA scan identified osteoporosis and osteopenia. I switched to Risedronate because I could not tolerate the AA. I
