Colpermin questions
Hi, I have recently decided to try Colpermin to see if it helps with my very long-term IBS, but I have a couple of questions. Firstly, how long before and after taking Colpermin is it okay to eat or drink? Secondly, how long before and after taking Colpermin is it okay to take other medication, especially

H Pylori
Hi, I've tested positive for h pylori in my gut. Been given 2 types of antibiotics for 7 days and omeprazole for 2 weeks. Can anyone give me advice on what supplements etc would be beneficial for me once I've finished this treatment? I'm a bit confused with probiotics/prebiotics so would be very grateful

B12 deficiency with RA
Hi I have recently been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and have been taking various drugs before and after diagnosis. A ppi(omeprazole) was prescribed to take before Naproxen (500mg twice daily) and methotrexate (10mg weekly) with 5mg folic acid 3 days later. I also have cocodamol if needed too.

Feeling very sick
Hello all! I know we are all slightly different in terms of our symptoms, but I just wondered if anyone else is suffering the same as me... I've noticed the last week or so feeling extremely sick when I get up in the morning, a bit like morning sickness - no I'm not pregnant! It lasts until around

Headaches
For just over a month I've been suffering with intense headaches, pain in my right eye, and light sensitivity. I saw my GP this evening and he put me on 10mg amitriptyline, sent me for an eye test and told me to contact my rheumatologist to make him aware (I'm in Uni in Cardiff but still with my consultant

benign thyroid nodule
I had an operation to remove right side of my thyroid in December 2015 as I had a benign nodule. My doctor tells me that my thyroid function is normal. I also have fibromyalgia but I am convinced I have an under active thyroid as I am always cold, have gained nearly 2 stone in a year, tired ,have trouble

Some unexpected good news
I have PMR which was diagnosed in 2009 when I was 54. It's the usual story of starting at 15 mg of prednisolone and decreasing very slowly with sticking points at 10, 7 and 5 mg. I have also had problems with tendonitis, gout and pain around the rib cage. Despite all this I have managed to stay active

Fed Up with Hypothyroidism...
Hi, I am new to this but I am really struggling with life at the moment. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in Spring 2015 after being so exhausted, I found it extremely difficult to even climb stairs. My dosage is correct at the moment but the fatigue is still there. On top of this, I am taking beta

Hello to you all, my new found friends. I posted a couple of weeks before Christmas about my having got some Thyroid-S with the hope of replacing synthetic Levo with it - I'm very grateful for the replies that I got. I was taking 50mg Levo (Mercury Pharma) up till then, but felt undermedicated. My doctor

Heartburn and trapped wind!
I've been taking co-codamol along with nurofen (every2 hours swapping between them both) and I also take omeprazole every morning to help protect my stomach. I have now been put in to naproxen twice a day with paracetamol in between. I am getting terrible heartburn after eating anything, and by late

Nerve issues, burning mouth and tests to ask for
Hello. These are follow up questions to your very helpful comments a month or so ago. I was told had low TSH 18 months ago and then found a lump in neck. I had an appointment with an ENT consultant in OCtober who sent me for scan and biopsy in November. At scan I was told that it looked like large multi-nodular

Would appreciate any tips to calm me down in time for Monday!
Hello everyone. Had a tough time especially at work over the last 18 months, brought to a head before Christmas. I was 'keeping a lid on things' up to that point, but then just flipped. I feel sicker than I've ever felt in my life, light headed, racing thoughts, feelings of impending doom, of losing
