Omeprazole - or Lansoprazole
I’ve been taking 20 mg of Omeprazole daily ever since I was diagnosed with PMR almost 3 years ago. However: when I collected my last repeat prescription I see that this time it’s Lansoprazole - and it’s 30mg instead of 20! And to take it between 30-60 mins before food, whereas the Omeprazole never

Stopped Omeprazole before endoscopy and have a big increase in heartburn
I’m due for an endoscopy on Tuesday. The nurse I saw at the hospital prior to this said to stop taking the Omeprazole (I forget how long before procedure I was supposed to stop). I got an appointment almost straight away and I’ve not been taking the Omeprazole for 4 days now and I’ve realised how much

Reduction complete.
Hello everyone, well I have completed my reduction regime , finished 11 days ago. I finished after a week of 1 mg but I am having terrible stomach problems/gerd, stomach flutters that lead to missed heartbeats and a cough. Do you think this could be related to withdrawal? Do you have withdrawal from

Wondering about splitting daily dose
Following from previous post I upped to 12.5mg as it seemed that the bivalent booster for covid had reactivated my pmr....conjecture agreed on here. I have very little stiffness and it can go later in day. Seems more likely to be DOMS. Doing household chores and walking 1.5mls as part of using muscles

I have had symptoms on and off for many years Omeprazole for acid reflux which has settled now thankfully and now I swing between constipation and urgent diahorea. I’ve started a food diary and milk seems to be a trigger food along with some others. Does anyone know if this will eventually settle without

Sudden onset poorly controlled asthma
Hi, Sorry it’s a bit of a long story but I am feeling rather lost with what has happened. I was absolutely fine until November maybe odd tight chest and shortness of breath but this could have been anxiety. I am now on GINA step 4 and still poorly controlled. I am waiting to see the specialist, the

omeprazole and levothyroxine
Hi, Does anyone know if there's an interaction between these two drugs and if I should delay taking my Omeprazole a certain number of hours after the Levothyroxine? I am on 87.5 levothyroxine and 20 mg Omeprazole. Many thanks

Omeprazole
I know there has been many discussions about Omeprazole but I'm still undecided over using it. I've been on and off it since being on pred and never really had any issues. I did start taking it again when I had to take naproxen for something. Not taking Naproxen now and only did for very short time .

TSH elevated T4 in bloods normal range
Wondering if anyone has experienced having a high TSH level yet levothyroxine T4 uptake is safely within range? Over the last 5 years my levels have fluctuated from hypothyroid normal parametets to elevated T4 low TSH to exact opposite. Food, other meds, general bloods all managed well to ensure no conflict

Those who have read my previous posts will know that after discussion I had a flare (we think due to bivalent covid vaccine) so now back up to 12mg.So need advice and ideas from any of you good folks with medical science experience, knowledge or background re vit D3 etc. Dexascan compared to 3 yrs ago

tummy issues
I’m on Losartan and Felodipine for high blood pressure since 2021. But I am having nausea and upper tummy pain. GP prescribed Omeprazole which I’ve been taking since November. Nausea better but tummy pain still bad at times. I think it’s the medication but the pharmacist at GP surgery says not. Does

esomeprazole and blurred vision
I wonder if anyone has noticed decline in their distance vision from taking ppis? I have been going to eye hospital regularly over last year ( retinal tears, active pvd, changes to retina so at high risk of getting macular holes). But through all this my short sightedness has not changed until recently

Pain relief failing - Help!
Hi, I’m new here but it’s been really interesting to read everyone’s posts and know I’m not going through it alone. I had a laparoscopy last June where they excised endometriosis from my pouch of Douglas. I was in agony before, so much so I had to take weeks off work (I’m a primary school teacher)

Never mind the adrenals, what about vitamin D?
Following my last post about trying to coax the adrenals out of their deep slumber and trying to stop Celcoxib, I saw the endocrinologist last week. Good and bad news - good to see ESR and CRP at the lowest levels for many years, but Bad - sub clinical hypothyroidism, looks like I have an underactive

Long term Omeprazole use and B12 deficiency symptoms
My mother has been taking Omeprazole for years and suffers from many classic B12 deficiency symptoms...mouth ulcers, pins and needles, dizziness, weakness, vision problems and difficulty walking. I have spoken to countless doctors and none will even consider the likelihood she is B12 deficient. When
