CMT & Fitness
Hi everyone, after seeing many people across different CMT websites with similar questions, I've spent the last few months in lockdown creating a CMT website that is focused on providing useful, actionable information about managing the disease, focusing around health and
fitness
which I and a few others

Week 5 run 3. Bring it on!
Bought smart watch to track my progress, I average 8,000 steps on a normal day, so
fitness
isn't an issue, but I piled on the weight eating crap! This app has built my stamina up from "can't be arsed" to "yes I can"! I've lost 7lbs so far!!

VO2 max Vs Lymphocytes
I do understand its a way of measuring your
fitness
as such. But has there been any evidence that a good VO2 max value has any correlation to reducing the number (value) of lymphocytes ? Or am i barking up the wrong tree. Cheers

Blood results - no values given - advice please!
The ones which I usually go to but are on hold: pole
fitness
, aerial silks and core training. What would be my next steps?

Consolidation runs (just delayed by a year or so)
I have had two back injuries this year and
fitness
just wasn't a priority. Part of me was also scared of getting hurt again. Having said that, I have just done two weeks of three runs per week, after a long hiatus. And I am back.

Struggling a bit for motivation but getting back on track
I felt so awful and of course then my had starts telling me I've lost all this
fitness
I had created. However I do think things are getting better because I am also wanting to run these past couple of days!

Still not back to running but
is still way better than it was and I know my legs are stronger as despite this mornings walk after a cup of tea they are great to keep on going instead of just collapsing on the couch for the rest of the day, To those still on C25k - it is so worth it for the overall improvement in your health and

Week 6 Day 2 - goodbye intervals!
I know paying too much attention to the numbers is a no-no for a lot of people, but I have found having my heart rate shown on my
fitness
watch has hugely helped me manage my pace and my exertion, which in turn helps me enjoy the run more by not overdoing it.

Restarting fitness
I gave up jogging a few years ago because of knee problems but I do miss it. I seem to be able to walk for long distances without any problems so I decided yesterday to start week 1. I was so slow but I did it and the knees seem ok

Week 1 run 1
I had a cold and cough; I realised how much it had affected my
fitness
so back to the start. 60 seconds seems a long time and 90 seconds so short.

Finally did it!
I haven't run in over a month so I have lost a lot of
fitness
but today was about just getting out there and breaking the cycle of putting it off. I even did it in the rain so I am very proud of myself! ๐
