Couch to Covid
I really don’t want to loose the
fitness
I’ve built during the first 8 weeks (+some repeat weeks) So... because I’m feeling a little better I thought I’d take ur advice and do some indoor YouTube lead exercise. I chose a 40min Jo Wicks H.I.T workout....

Was 14 days with no run.... now it's only 1!! 😊
Well, yesterday, the day came 🙌🙌 I had a gremlin in my ear telling me it was 14 days since my last run 🏃♂️ and I was going to lose
fitness
and have to go back to earlier runs.... so I put on my big girl pants and got out there before the lazy sofa gremlin 😈 got in my ear.

How do I get motivated to start again
My girls have started a
fitness
routine and even that hasn’t moved me. I think I’m going into a Covid winter slump. Any ideas?

Week 5 run 2
I’d really like to get it down to the 120s, but I think that’s only going to happen on the flat, or maybe as I slowly improve my CV
fitness
. Still, it’s a far cry from struggling from my armchair to the kitchen in April! Feeling pleased, counting my blessings.

2nd post covid week back
Fitness
nowhere near where it was, but happier than last week. Think I’ll try this again for a couple of weeks then see if I can build up the distance again, probably through magic rather than the garmin plans. Noticed I’m getting stiff ankles the day after a run, any ideas ?

completed it! mixed feelings
I am a GP and will be recommending it much more as it's so well planned out even people with a surprisingly low level of initial
fitness
can complete it. Thanks to this forum for all your support x

Impatient!
Can’t believe how much
fitness
I’ve lost, but it’ll come back I’m sure.

Restoring muscle
I didn’t even know restoring muscle was a thing not ever really being into
fitness
. I have started following the runners world group and keep reading about restoring muscle after running. Should I being doing this? I haven’t been... I started running in lockdown and merely just do the running.

Also I realised it's exactly 4 moths since C25K!!
Its crazy to me to see how much my
fitness
has changed over this year: training to walk again from February onwards, getting up the stairs in April, beginning to run in the very end of June with the onset of C25K... and now feeling honestly the fittest I ever have been :) Running with such ease is something

Failed W6 and lost all motivation
i really don't want to lose this
fitness
i'm building up, but the thought of getting back out there and failing another run is making me avoid it altogether. do i try and repeat the whole week? thank you!

One week, two runners, three runs (me)/ two (M) + analysis 🏃🏻🏃🏼♀️+🏃🏼♀️+🏃🏼♀️🏃🏻
Presumably, my
fitness
is improving, so there’s a changing baseline to be factored in, I guess. Another comparator (also inexact) is with M. He is running-only. When we were both running-only (December), I would usually be behind by the end, maybe by a few hundred yards.

Experimenting with fleccainide
This resulted in a major loss of
fitness
and a higher than usual resting heart rate . This higher resting heart rate I think was actually good for my afib .

Whilst plussing up on cycling to keep up
fitness
and stamina, yes, of course I came a cropper on my bike. My left thigh took the hit and have been recovering for the last few weeks. Anyway have now managed three shortish interval runs as a starting point.

In focus: exercise - cardio
Cardio increases your general
fitness
, strengthens your heart and lungs, helps to maintain a healthy weight and supports your body’s ability to recover from physical stress and exertion.
