After running 10 miles nearly two weeks ago, my motivation for running seemed to disappear. Things have been so busy, and I was so tired. I did try running a couple of times last week, but in all of them I felt quite weak? And didn't feel comfortable - so of course this decreased my motivation further. Also on Monday of this week it all culminated when I tried to run and literally had to stop after 10 minutes because I was so tired. It felt like c25k all over again!! I felt so awful and of course then my had starts telling me I've lost all this fitness I had created.
However I do think things are getting better because I am also wanting to run these past couple of days! I'm also not feeling as weak, and have been very, very hungry, so maybe my body was just sleep deprived and needing food. Yesterday I finally went out and managed 6km which felt so much better than last week I hope I can get either 1 or 2 more runs in this week and then begin again more structured running next week.

Absolutely relax and be kind to yourself. It's World Kindness Day today 🙂 A lot of mental battles can affect our running and at times life is busy and stressful but I believe this is where we need something like running most. To make it a healthy habit where we look forward to it and enjoy it without feeling that we have to achieve this distance or that time.
Enjoy the moment, the ritual of running and the fact you do it well and you've come so far 😀
A ten mile run always leaves me feeling tired well into the following week; I think that this is absolutely normal. I also feel ravenously hungry post run and make sure that I eat well in the period before and after. You are clearly bouncing back now, so you are well on your way to recovery. 👍
Great you got that 6k in. A 10miles run takes a lot out of you, you need and deserve extra days to rest and refuel. Relax and enjoy your next run whatever distance. Happy running 🤗
Oh dear - please don’t put so much pressure on yourself. You have done brilliantly and you shouldn’t get down about not feeling it sometimes. Great that you’ve got the urge to run again and maybe shorter runs suit you better for a while but that’s OK isn’t it ? Your runs how you want - that’s the joy ... your choice
