Just 11 minutes of fast walking
A New review of a study of 44,000 middle aged people who wear
fitness
trackers, published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, shows that just 11 minutes of fast walking can offset many of the long term effects of sitting still.

Still don’t feel anywhere near how I hoped to after these procedures and struggle with any sort of
fitness
due to occasional pain and constant shortness of breath.

Back at it and it felt great!
Just goes to show that if you keep up with running and set a good foundation that your
fitness
is still there even after a bit of a break. I have been working out at home, so I'm sure that has helped but even so I expected to find today hard.

Underwhelming graduation
I've purchased a weighted vest and intend to start the C25K program again while using the vest, in an effort to improve my
fitness
further while giving myself an incremental plan to follow.

Week 7 Run 3!
So it’ll be interesting to see how karate feels with my new found
fitness
! Of course the real test will be when I’m back in the dojo and I can train properly. Something to look forward to when restrictions are loosened!

Beta blockers and fitness tracking
One area where I still don't really have a proper "grip" on things (my autism makes this important to me) is that I have a lack of clarity on how to use my Fitbit Versa 3
fitness
tracker to properly track my heart rate and properly indicate when I'm doing "fat burn", "cardio" and "Peak" levels of exercise

Cold Day but good day
So, a good day, and a bit of positivity to all, I didnt even think I'd be at this level of
fitness
again or even close, and to not have afib anymore is just the icing on the cake. Hope your all well and enjoying the nights now pulling out a little , soon be summer.

Back from the wilderness
It was not easy in the way that running has become easier as I got more experienced, but I ran for half an hour, just short of 4k and I realised that I had not lost all my
fitness
after all. Amazingly I can still run!

Getting there again
In August I seemed to reach my peak
fitness
with a VO2 max of 46 and a 5k PB of 25:35. As soon as I went back to work, everything went pear shaped. VO2 has been I hovering around 43/44 and my pace dropped.

Post Thyroidectomy, low FT3, high FT4 on Levothyroxine 150mg daily
Alongside I have been put on Edoxaban as I've suffered clots in the past - which has had a marked improvement on my circulation and
fitness
levels. I used to take 3x weekly walks of 1 5 hours, now I go mountain biking 6x week for an hour.

Work overload reduces your level of
fitness
, messes up your routine, and impacts negatively on your mind and the body. There aren't many positives to overworking yourself.

Back Again
So basically what I'm looking for is someone in the Inverclyde area, that's about the same level of
fitness
as me, that can join me on this journey. I know it's a long shot, but having the company and be able to hold each other accountable would make a massive difference to me.

It’s been a while since my last run - I have a friend staying over and have been swamped with work - so I was worried about losing
fitness
- but tonight’s run was great, and maybe the few days off helped my body recover.
