I had a HA in 2012 (stent x1), I also have Atrial Tachycardia. My problem at the moment is that I have lost all my drive. I am not eating sensibly or exercising and just feel that I am losing control of the situation. I think some of this is due to the Covid situation. Before this I was exercising well and able to lose weight. My Atrial Tachycardia started a year ago but also I have had AF since 2012. I am trying to do a bit of walking but I do get breathless but not sure if this is due to the AF/AT, heart disease, weight gain or just that I have lost fitness. I really not sure how I get out of this mindset which is beginning now to worry me.

Lost the plot with my fitness
I think you are not on your own with fitness .
I got very fit following HA last year one stent and now with lockdown of gyms struggling with my fitness . I think carry on with the gentle walks and build up to longer ones .
You will feel better with regular excercise it’s just getting started .
Once you kick off you’ll get to enjoy it . Start small the expand . Hope you get there ,

I’m with EmmyLaury! Small steps. It’s not easy in these times, but you and I both know we feel so much better if we can lose a bit of weight and get a bit fitter!
First, I took v v small steps, and kept a diary of the tiny achievements. That way you see progress however small. My experience of shielding for so long is that you have to be creative in lockdown. Walking a different way each day, watching nature for new signs of growth. I even took to walking v early, to count the hedgehogs, and photographing them. There were lots!
Getting control of eating is the most important for losing weight. And eating stuff that helps ward off infection......
Then exercise, there’s lots of good stuff on line. I do one a day. Cardio and Pilates. I’m just trying out a new good looking ballet class (Im 77).
Be good to hear how you do it, your own way!
