Calves aching like mad
Fitness
-wise I’m OK, but my calves ache so much I almost have to stop. Am fairly heavy, (12.7 and 5.3) so this could be the reason but other than that can’t think why. I try to land midfoot and not on heel but nothing helps. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks 🙏

The most PATRONISING doctor EVER!
He sat and listen to my whole lift story as he was really into
fitness
himself, he took the time out of his day the day after to call me. He said he is going to call me every 2/3 weeks until we get to the bottom of this, he is going to be like a dog with a bone!

Week2R1 done- but did anyone feel nauseous?
I know I’ve not achieved a miracle and gained high
fitness
levels within just a week, but did anyone else suffer with any nausea initially? Am I doing something wrong, should I stop, or is this normal at the beginning? Any tips or advice VERY appreciated!!

W4R2 take 3....
Cheated as started from week 4 as I think my
fitness
was at this level... So my motivation/ brain must be feeling better as I got out just after 6.30am to do the run...blimey it was cold this morning I really should invest in some running tights but always think I will look ridiculous..

Trying to get back to 5k
I thought I would need to go back to C25K and I was really pleased to find that I didn't and very slowly I managed about 3k, running most of it and generally feeling that I hadn't lost as much
fitness
as I was expecting. I was pretty chuffed I must admit!

I'm new here
Hi all, I love the idea of this
fitness
is fun challenge. I downloaded an app that counts my calories and another one that counts the steps I have done. Looks like I need to walk 5,000 steps a day to get to a healthy bmi. I couldn't manage 5,000 at first so I set it a few weeks back to be 500.

Week 9 Run 2 Done.
So I came to C25K with a level of
fitness
, but, running, and running for 30 minutes is a very different discipline, as you reading this have found out or are in the process of finding out. I just wanted to share a couple of things that helped me achieve my goal.

A sunny 3.5K
What I will try to do going forward is to start running twice a week again then hopefully 3x again and rebuild my
fitness
up rather than trying to push for pace or distance when my
fitness
level has obviously slipped.

Willow wore shorts
We are faster on the seafront, got fastest mile on Garmin, PR times 4 on strava, it was a lot more windy than here about a mile inland, went back down to garmin
fitness
age of 49 😀 and agreed to keep our runs mostly short because that doesn’t wear us out and once a week a longer run/walk over the downs

Just thought I'd drop by and say I've started my journey of getting more healthier and building my
fitness
levels by taking my first steps.... I'm a little unfit so even after a minute of running I was happy for the walking part to kick in.

Overmedicated? Heart concerns
I haven't increased exercise or
fitness
levels in the past 2 weeks, the only change has been meds. Anyhow, like I say I woke up today almost in a state of panic? Heart was racing up at 120 for no reason. As I sit here typing it's back down to 55.

Wk7R1 in new trainers
I graduated last year but with all that has happened over the year my
fitness
dropped and I had to start all over again. I have always been confident that I could do it again so it all started well. Then I realised that my trusty trainers were looking very sorry for themselves.

3K for Mr Garmin 😊
As I was running the first couple of kilometres, I was thinking about
fitness
age and I thought I would do a 3K with a fast (for me!) third km and see if my
fitness
age on Garmin improved significantly. I don’t really take much notice of this, but I was just curious.

Restarting
And the big surprise is that I haven’t lost all the
fitness
I gained last year. First time round I found the first runs very hard, running for one minute was pretty torturous. Now it’s easy! Just back from week1 run2 and feeling really positive.

It came as a bolt out of the blue as I'd always considered myself to be a fit and healthy person and was conscious of
fitness
, diet etc. I know from reading the posts, it was the same for a lot of people. So it takes a lot to get your head around it.
