I don't know the w w fitness app but generally things involving running and jumping are regarded as high impact whereas things like swimming and certainly yoga are low impact i.e. fairly gentle on the joints.

Yes, that makes sense slipstick. With the 'impact' bit relating to joints as opposed to the impact it has on your physical and mental health.

Mm thanks there must be different types of yoga exercises some that make the body work harder than others which would be the same idea, think I'll have to ask an instructor.

That sounds a good plan.

There's a difference between "impact" and "intensity" when it comes to exercise. The impact tends to relate to the physicality of what you are doing whereas intensity is more related to the cardio aspects. With something like Yoga, it's perfectly possible to have a low-impact high-intensity workout if all those gentle stretches leave you beetroot-faced and gasping for breath ;-)

For yoga that would only work if you are doing Power Yoga or one of the Vinyasa-style Yoga flows and doing it fast. Otherwise if you're getting red in the face and out of breath you're probably doing it wrong😀.
