Week 3
The following 2 days I had a lot of stump pain and could not get leg fitted comfortably, but today leg fit was good so this morning I did a 40 minute exercise workout, (press-ups, squats, a bit of weights and
fitness
bands) and then this afternoon I still felt good so I though, damn it I wont let 3 minutes

Another 45 (ish) minute walk
Vo2max is up again which is interesting giving me a
fitness
age some 20 years younger than my actual age ! I find this very strange as I'm recovering from a MI 🤔 ? What was really interesting today was the smell of all the grass and flowers following all the rain , it was really intense!

Week 3 Run 2 (revisited) 😊👍
I felt I was just a tad too fast yesterday for my current
fitness
level. Running clothes on without hesitation! No gremlins today. Tech charged and synced. Couldn’t find a hairbrush, no matter, fingers through hair and trademark sun visor on!

Jeffing with the Running Group 😊👍
It’s all helping with my overall
fitness
, but my plan is to eventually join one of the continuous running groups when I think I’ll be able to keep up with them! This week we covered 4K in about 35 minutes so slightly faster than last week. Happy with that 😊

After almost 3 years: W8
My
fitness
has improved enough to do it easily and something just clicked. I stopped being too strict on what days I run. Sometimes, technically I didn't do my three runs in one week. Sometimes it takes me a week and a half.

Starting Over - AGAIN
I kidded myself that walking and the occasional gym session was all that I needed to maintain that weight loss and
fitness
but trouser waist size increase from 38 to 42 was proof that it wasn't. I tried the C2 5K with one of the local running clubs in 2021 but didn't even get past week 1.

First run after Covid (the 3rd time): a deliciously drizzly, cloudy run
And my aerobic
fitness
also held up. I could tell I was panting a bit more than pre-Covid, but I certainly felt I could have run longer, or could have skipped my walking breaks. And that is always a good sign.

Advice on subclinical hypothyroidism
No other tests done My TSH levels have been gradually rising over the past few years I had been feeling healthy and well and increasing
fitness
levels but most recently I have been suffering from lots of cramps, tight muscles & tendonitis together with significant fatigue & low mood.

PMR flare?
The last 2 mornings I've gone for gentle walk for about 35 mins, I need to try and get my
fitness
a little bit better, I'm not fanatical about it, but for my health sake I must get moving. Very tired and missing my man something terrible. I try and keep busy, but find it hard to get motivated.

The Cause of my Afib - a short essay but a long post!
I’d even joined the Ramblers and god forbid a keep
fitness
class! I was really beginning to enjoy this thing called “fit” so I certainly wasn’t going to land on that as a cause! So then I was left looking at events that occurred in the immediate timeframe of when the AF started.

Week 7 thoughts
I'm also running slowly to try and improve my
fitness
. I'm nearly 50 and my bpm varies in the 150s and sometimes 160s when running (should my device be trusted) which seems a bit high so I try to slow down when I notice this.

Chronic fatigue/ long covid and fitness journey.
hi! Just asking if anyone who has had long covid with fatigue being the main symptom has started their journey back to health again? I was a casual runner before and regret pounding away on the treadmill whilst struggling to breathe when I had covid. My lungs have been damaged but I need to try

Minor Calf Strains (Pulled Calf)
And yes, one looses a tiny bit of
fitness
if running only one run per week.
Fitness
stays fairly stable with two runs per week and one gains strength and
fitness
with three weekly runs. But it shouldn’t have been the reason for pulling a calf muscle. But it may have contributed a tiny bit.

Dropping like flies ...
I'm sure most of us on here absolutely love running and don't just do it for
fitness
anymore, so when things go wrong, it is hard. Demoralising. Sickening.

Ejection fraction 41% post MI ...
What I want to know is - what are the experiences of those who also had very good baseline
fitness
- but have incurred a big MI like mine... How much has the EF improved - and with a borderline EF - what does that actually feel like in terms of reduced exercise tolerance etc ??
