At Last !
Just to let you know , the kind people who have helped me on here numerous times i have at last got the date for my new hip, August the 17th.I went for my
fitness
check and they were fine about my steroid use. i am going to stay 7mgs for now as i just can not seem for now to get any lower.

week 7 - novice runner
It’s definitely been tough, tougher than I expected in all honesty, but I feel like I’ve gained a lot from the programme and my cardiovascular

At last 5k in 30mins
I am realising that running is maybe 60%
fitness
and 40% mental preparation. Certainly the right mindset can do wonders. I’m practicing both for my impending 10k run in 2 weeks. Slow and steady gets you there. 👍🏼

Aging during the PMR/GCA journey. How to know if we can ever recover our pre-illness levels of energy and fitness
These are the years when even the vast majority of the "healthy" go through changes in energy levels,

, muscle strength, mental agility, etc, due to the normal process of aging. (Obviously there will always be exceptional cases, like the 93 year-old woman in my Pilates class!).

walks and gets the miles in for challenge. Probably raincoats this week coming or more clothes , not to be as warm. Did slow jogging for 400 metres 10 .23 m/k but not doing this often ,just odd time.

and make some personal progress. I didn't ever expect to be able to run so far without needing to walk. I didn't ever expect to be looking forward so much to my next run!
