I can’t believe I have done it! About 12 years since I last did it. Did my first Parkrun today. I was so scared. Everyone was so positive, I must have had 20 people wishing me good luck as I went round. I was just so glad to finish. Can I please request a graduation badge? πŸŽ‰

My boyfriend and I finished the C25K runs and now trying to keep to 3 x 30 minute runs a week (weather permitting). After an unfortunate accident I restarted once my ankle had recovered and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I am sure I am fitter now than I have ever been in my life. After every run we have been taking the dogs straight out for their walk and that is an hour at least at quite a brisk pace which I am sure helps too. They get longer walks on our non running days and even longer at weekends. They have shorter and a more sedate walk in the evenings.

It is still hard to believe I can run for 30 minutes, its something I just would not have thought possible a year ago.

Wishing you many happy miles with your dogs too. Wear that badge with pride! πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ“πŸ…πŸƒβ€β™€οΈβ€οΈπŸ’ͺπŸŽ‰

I think I have a graduation badge from the first time. Truth is that covid hit and I developed type 1 diabetes and stopped running.

Did a park run today for my week 9 run 3 and graduated again.

Now for consolidating and starting bridge to 10k.,

thank you very much 😊

I’m not sure where to go from here. Are there any apps you can suggest that include a trainer? Something to work towards to keep up motivation?

Absolutely! We’ve got a weekly post that runs for graduates dedicated exactly to this with some hints and tips and the opportunity to chat!

healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

I also felt a bit lost when I finished. It’s really common. You might like the Nike Run Club app-that’s free and has loads of guided runs. It’s cheesy at times but I love it.
