Smile once more, turn thy wheel (King Lear 2:2)
Coming into the foot of the 'Beacon', I was going well, I rode past people who were pushing their bikes and some who were
cycling
slowly. I did wonder if I was going a bit too quick but I was not feeling stressed or tired. The Beacon has an elevation of 248m.

Ischaemic Heart Disease - Impact on Athletic Performance?
I am not as fit as I was before diagnosis but have kept reasonably active with running and
cycling
albeit not to my prior distances and intensity. I have noticed that I become terribly out of breath on the uphills and I end up with just no strength left in my knees.

Why does BAT work in so few?
Bipolar Androgen Therapy (BAT), which entails
cycling
between androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) and very high doses of testosterone (T) has had disappointing results.

Chronic anal fissure and a positive FIT test
intermittent soreness and tenderness in my upper central abdomen (I had erosive gastritis a couple of years ago and this feels like a much milder version of that, and it's in the same place), a small amount of weight loss (about a stone over the last year I guess, but then I am eating less and walking more -

CATCH-UP CORNER...MAY...WEEK 3...Slip off the running shoes and come on in.
., I think I did something odd to my back whilst
cycling
in Wales. I have not been on my bike for a while and a rough terrain ride and my bike not properly adjusted, ( that will teach me), has meant a really painful week. I have not run since last Friday!

The best laid schemes o' Mice an' Men.
In addition it doesn't interfere with my summer of
cycling
as it is over by the end of April and I can then switch my efforts into riding my bike and preparing for the London to Brighton Sportive in June.

Methadone + Pregabalin + Trazodone - So far so good
I'm very active (
cycling
everyday, rock climbing & calisthenics). No other health issue, RLS runs in the family, my father and sister have it & other family members have it on my mother side. I tried natural remedies at first. Iron supplements, Vit. C, magnesium, B12, even ashwaganda.

Running in Wales.
I’m in mid-Wales on a
cycling
break with my Women only
cycling
club. It is very hilly but we are spoilt with amazing views and beautiful weather. A few of us had half a plan to do parkrun this morning (at Newtown) but it proved to be too complicated to organise transport ( and too hilly to cycle).

Bipolar Androgen Therapy Followed by Androgen Receptor Inhibition as Sequential Therapy for Prostate Cancer
Regarding BAT: "This rapid

is intended to disrupt the adaptive of AR regulation associated with chronic exposure to high or low levels of testosterone" IMO, the disruption of adaptation is best started at the inception of AR-axis inhibition therapy, with the first testosterone

how to exercise with AFib?
I have until this point always been super fit, really active with running, rowing,
cycling
etc. So now I am not doing these things as my heart won’t let me. Does anyone have any handy ideas on how to keep fit without stressing my heart? Thanks for reading my post.

update on my GCA-LVV journey - back to weekly Actemra injections
In October several things happened: 1) I increased Actemra injection Intervalls from 10 to 14 days, 2) I had a
cycling
accident when gravel biking with quite some skin abrasion at one knee and elbow - healed all well but it took some time, 3) I caught a stomach bug and had 4) my 4th Covid jab ( all

shoulder pain
I initially put it down to
cycling
but after a couple of months it is still painful especially when lifting my arm towards my left shoulder. I’ve ET and have been taking hydroxy for 7 years. Has anyone had similar issues? Thank you.

Swollen soles of feet with heart medication.
I stopped the
cycling
and walking for a couple of weeks but the swelling and soreness continued. My cardio registrar advises it is caused by the bisoprolol but it is the best drug for me. I also have constantly cold hands.Anyone else had the same problem and had their medication changed?

Tentative start
So along with squats and
cycling
I stayed fit. Then yesterday I thought I'd give c25k a go again. So out I went in the torrential rain and wind and completed the first run. It was hard but not painful but enjoyable. I'm going to try to do alternate days to see what happens. Wish me luck.

How to Get More Out Of Your Exercise, Walking, Jogging, Running, Cycling And Aerobics With Astaxanthin
One of my more recent experiments was to test a common supplement called Astaxanthin (AST). I only knew of AST as an antioxidant and anti inflammatory via inhibition of the inflammatory mediator Nf kappa B. I had no expectations of what it might do for me, but I wanted to see what if anything it might
