Re-

. We had a post about re-
cycling
medicine packaging recently and it occurred to me that I should have reminded people to make sure that they remove any personal labels from such before disposal.

How to Get More Out Of Your Exercise, Walking, Jogging, Running, Cycling And Aerobics With Astaxanthin
One of my more recent experiments was to test a common supplement called Astaxanthin (AST). I only knew of AST as an antioxidant and anti inflammatory via inhibition of the inflammatory mediator Nf kappa B. I had no expectations of what it might do for me, but I wanted to see what if anything it might

Feeling sorry for feeling sorry
I exercise regularly, down the gym, love hiking,
cycling
, and am teaching myself to surf. I also (pre COVID) SCUBA dive regularly, having worked as an instructor.

Forgot my medication on french trip, got amazing service.
I recently went to France on
cycling
trip and discovered I'd bought all my medication EXCEPT T3. ( i take 125 thyroxine and 10 liothronine). I went in a pharmacy who said they needed confirmation from my doctor, tried to find french doc then by chance cycled past pharmacy with a doctor in it.

Further evidence that getting cold can trigger my AF.
Well it has happened again this time whilst
cycling
in the Pyrenees and I have recorded it on my Polar chest strap heart rate monitor linked to my Garmin. See graph below. After 3 hours steady
cycling
up Luz Ardiden I was in NSR butit was cool and misty on top with no sun.

Post ICU
As posted before - in July 2021 I had a major
cycling
accident where is was side swiped by an electric car on lane that was far too narrow for it to pass me safely. As a result I was let with 6-7 brain bleeds and struggling to breathe.

Fit 50 year old
I am a fit 50 year old who vigorously exercises 6 days a week (
cycling
,boxing, running, weights) I caught nasty chest infection in August. It took 3 weeks and 2 courses of antibiotics to clear. After the infection cleared I was left really short breathed after I exercised.

To take or not to take?
Although I still can, gripping the handle bars isn’t so easy when
cycling
. Final question, IF I was to continue taking a low dosage ,and my pains subside, is it so bad to continue with Pred, despite my Rumi , and it appears other Rumis desires to get their patients off of Pred full stop.

Surviving the injury couch: when life gives you lemons ... 🍋🍋🍋
Cycling
has proved a great activity to plug between my runs and has satisfied my desire for more stats and more challenges too 😄. Should you ever find yourself in the unfortunate position of an extended period on the IC ...

Return to C25K after Achilles Injury
I’ve been
cycling
to keep my fitness going and I’m sure this has helped my injury. I would be interested to hear people’s thoughts, particularly if you’ve been through something similar.

Feeling very despondent
I was always so active enjoying walking,
cycling
and gardening. Thankfully I have an electric bike which I can still ride but only in the summer months. This forum has been such a comfort to me knowing that I am not the only one suffering from PMR and that there is help out there.

Heavy limbs
He suggested exercise like
cycling
may help...I'm not so sure ! But is this fatigue or is it muscle wastage kicking in ,in which case exercise probably would help. Any suggestions?

Does Flecainide impact HR on exercise?
I’m keen to maintain my health through exercise and enjoy running, swimming and
cycling
. I have agreed with my EP to avoid Beta Blockers as they restrict my HR to the extent that my pace is heavily impacted.

Ablation Experience
Briefly I have done endurance sport for 30 years, rowing, running and
cycling
. I noticed 2 years ish ago my heart would sometimes behave strangely, peak and then not settle below 130 bpm.

The Fellowship
I have decided to slip in some indoor
cycling
as well. Not to let the distance pass by faster, though it certainly does, but because I think
cycling
is a good exercise too. On my first
cycling
try, I kept to a resistance of 2 (out of 10) and 60 RPM and I reached 6K in 30 minutes.

Note that: "ADT was continued throughout the study to allow rapid
cycling
from near castrate to supraphysiologic range T following T injections." There was no castrate phase! "ADT" is a red herring, in that there is no meaningful use of castration.

Your thoughts/experiences please about a change to a high dose of Sotalol (120mg twice a day).
I have just had my 32nd bout of AF this year but could not shift this one myself (by
cycling
up a hill) so went to A+E. Sheffield A+E are always very accommodating, despite being very busy, and said that I had done the right thing to go in.
