Moderate to severe endometriosis attached to bowel
I had a laparoscopy in September to diagnose endometriosis, after trying to conceive for 2 & 1/2 yrs. the results were that it's moderate to sever and is fused to my bowel and has damaged my left tube. I saw my consultant on Friday and she has said that it would be beneficial to have the surgery to remove

Healthy New Year (part 2) 💋
Well, where do I start?! I left you in 2015. I'd been sent home from hospital. I managed one night at home then had to go back via A&E. My stomach pains were worse still. I was admitted, whisked off, by an angel of a junior doctor who knew he'd be in trouble but couldn't get hold of a porter, for a CT

Severe endo is a hysterectomy a good option?
Hi, after suffering over the last 4-5 years of severe pelvic pain and having various lapatoscopy's for chocolate cysts I have now been diagnosed with severe endometriosis 😔 Endo specialist now has decided I need a full pelvic clearout with possible bowel resection. I am as you can imagine very nervous

macroprolactinoma
Happy New Year everyone. Let's hope it's a good one for all of us. Just in passing!!!! has anyone any experience of macroprolactinoma? Mine was discovered during a PET scan after lobectomy when I was told "here's something there that shouldn't be there." I'd be interested in contacting someone in

Endo and the bowel
Hi all, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 endometriosis in September following a laparoscopy and was told I have a lot of lesions in my bowel. One of my ovaries and Fallopian tube was actually fused into my bowel which the surgeon managed to free but, he wasn't able to do much more as was afraid he'd damage

Hi, I have a fungal ball in my lung and have been told that a lobectomy is my only option after antifungal drugs have not worked. Can anyone recommend a pulmonary surgeon in the USA that has experience with aspergilloma / fungal ball in lung/ CPA? Thank you

I finally had post-surgery consultation!
Following on from my 1st laparoscopy in August, I had a post-op appt yesterday and I was told I need another surgery in the new year. I was shown the pictures of my inside and I felt really bad for thinking the surgeons didn't do a good job the 1st time as my tubes, ovaries and bowel look all tucked

Cabergoline
Hello - I've been following this ?forum on & off for some months hoping to come across someone else who has/had a macroprolactinoma. Mine was discovered during routine staging following a lobectomy. It's being treated by an endocrinologist (!) with Cabergoline. At the moment it's stable, but would like

Personal achievement
Hi all I just wanted to share a personal achievement with you all. Yesterday, I completed Snowdonia marathon with my husband in just over 6 hours!! It is billed as one of the UKs toughest road marathons and I had done it three times before. However, last year I had to cancel my place as I had been diagnosed

Left Upper VATS Lobectomy Surgery 10/29
My Father is going in for this procedure, (stage I lung cancer) and i was hoping to get some inside information on some things we could do for him at home that will make his recovery easier. Should we get adjustable Mattress, or a self lifting recliner for him? what can we expect?? thanks

What do you think is the most important support after leaving ICU?
It's been 3 years since discharge for me and I have made a full recovery. I would like to know what people would have thought the most important aspect of follow up care if they didn't receive any like I did. Obviously in the first few weeks the physical aspects like strength and eating were important

Hi friends there were so much ups and downs in my life but I could tolerate and managed them when I was not depressed so much as now...but lacking self confidence was the major thing that all people knows me about that...and I felt that everything is my fault..I have tried always to attract the satisfaction
