This was my Journey - It May be Helpful to You
I had my TURP (Trans Urethral Resection of the Prostate) in October of 2011 at age 65. Subsequent analysis of the material removed showed cancer cells in less than 5% of the material and Gleason graded 3+3=6. I was staged T1a by my urologist. To say I was shocked when I was told I had the big C, is

Severe spine and abdo pain
Hiya girls, Need a little bit of advice. Think I mentioned in one of my previous 2 posts some of the symptoms I've been having which are lower abdominal, pelvic and lower spine pain which is quite severe. Today I've been in absolute agony! I've taken four 30/500mg co-codamol and four extra relief paracetamols

Ouch, my poor feet!
Managed W7R1 yesterday morning then myself, husband, son and daughter in law visited the National Coalmining Museum at Caphouse Colliery. We did the underground tour which was a marvellous experience then had a picnic before heading home. Today I've been gardening, cleaning the patio, basically on my

Liver de-tox
Hi , I am sorry if all my posts are along the lines of "has anyone tried this!" But....has anyone tried an Epsom salts liver de-tox? I am up for trying anything that might help my condition, but, living as I do on my own, like to be able to talk things through with people in the same situation as myself

Daily running
I've been in Cornwall for a week with my gorgeous mum and sisters who live there. I've ran every day and clocked up 40 miles which is more than I've done over a week for a while. I wanted to share what I have learnt so far about daily running..... It's only now after 3 years that I feel my body is ready

Zytiga vs. Xtandi vs. Radium 223 vs. Cannabis
Dx 9/2010 with agressive PCa. Failed RP, hormone injections every 3 months. Mets in pubic rami. Current diagnosis 1mCRPCa. On Trelstar, Xgeva and Zytiga. Recent blood labs showed rising PSA. Next blood lab late July. If PSA continues to rise: New nuclear scans and an eye toward replacing my Zytiga therapy

There, that's better!
I knew a kicking from Laura would get me going again! Not a great distance but it if you extrapolate times it means I'll be doing 6.5 km in under an hour. Pretty slow I know but after the last effort I'm quite encouraged as I could have run a bit more. It's also a miserable truth that if you ran twice

Strontium to preserve bone integrity
I am looking for information on strontium, which is an inexpensive supplement. For me now, it is preventative as I only have a tiny met spot. My PCa aggressive but low volume disease. Post radiation 3 years and currently starting Xtandi, PSA rising 26. My life pleasure is now limited to playing

So glad I found this site
I've had pelvic pain for many years. So many doctors and surgeries. One doc even told my husband it was all in my head! Finally found a urologist who said it was pelvic floor dysfunction. Now I'm doing therapy and got into a pain clinic. The first thing my urologist did was put me on valium but you use

Went to Manchester to see the Prof on Wednesday...
Hi All. Well, here I am, back from the MRI in Manchster. Bit daunting at first, small entrance, millions of people but Rhuematology and the Lupus centre were a walk away from the masses. We entered a quiet side clinic which was all calm and serene. The first thing I noticed as we approached the reception

Hey all, I completed my first run yesterday, and as you can imagine no amount of stretching will rid you of the fact you've worked muscles you haven't in years haha Just wanted to say I got some Epsom Salts from Boots and had a soak in the bath and then regardless of the pain have been for a brisk 15
