Chronic aches & pains
My question is can boosting minerals & vitamins enhance levo uptake and absorption? When originally diagnosed 21yrs ago and put on 100mg levo I had joint pain. 15/11/17 my TSH was 10.7 and on 75mg levo this was increased to 100mg 11/1 /18 retested TSH was 0.37 since then I have been taking supplements

Have had stitch/pain that comes and goes frequently under left rib cage..can anyone relate? Tests show nothing.
Hi, for several months, have had what feel like knife like pain or a stitch feeling that comes and goes under my left rib cage. Does anyone get this? I thought it might be may be muscle strain from straining to have bowel movement (please don't tell me not too, as I have severe constipation, with that

Having an angiogram? Don't worry!
Hi all, I just thought I'd write this post for anyone who, like me yesterday, is sh*tting bricks at the thought of having an angiogram. I was SO anxious, to the extent of hyperventilating with tingly hands & feet, going into the cath lab. I had really worked myself up so much. I was even really worried

Librium - any experiences?
I've just had an emergency appointment with my psychiatrist who has prescribed this. Although it is an older drug and less prescribed, he feels it is 'smoother' and has a longer half life than valium. (He is a very good psych. and I value his judgement). It's to help my rolling panic attacks after I

Epsom salts for pain relief...?
Hi all, I’m really suffering today. I woke up at 5:30 with my usual unbearable period pains. Had a hot bath, refilled my hot water bottle about 10 times and took some naproxen but I’m still in a lot of pain. I have my first internal scan on Tuesday with a gynaecologist that specialises in Endometriosis

Bad end to good weekend.
I loved going to paint nite. I worked on Saturday an earlier shift so I could go to the Southern Womens show today. After I worked though my legs decided they were done for a while. So I didn’t get to go to the show. I wanted to so bad though. I was really excited about it. Yet my body had other plans

Turnaround time for Blue Horizons?
Hi, This is my first post here but have previously posted on PA. Had my bloods taken on 7th March for the Thyroid 6 blood test with Blue Horizon. They advised me by email after I'd placed the order that if the samples are sent to Edinburgh, that they are updating their systems so there may be delays.

Not the treatment I was expecting for my 89 y/o Dad
My Dad and I met with the MO today, who is recommending Taxotere For his treatment. (Mets to skull, spine, pelvis & ribs) MO says Zytiga, Xtandia, and Radium 223 would not be as effective but can be tried if he can't tolerate the Taxotere. He says this is what is recommended as a 1st line of treatment

Upper oesophagus cancer
Hello, my 77 yr old dad was diagnosed a few days ago. He has had difficulty swallowing for about 4mths and had Barium Swallow done which came back clear but biopsy during endoscopy found he has SCC cancer. Dr says Barium Swallow didn’t show as the cancer is up high (20cm from his jaw) & also very close

Magnesium Spray?
I think one or two a-fib posters in the past have mentioned using magnesium oil or spray, and I'm wondering how effective this is overall? Has the use helped with ectopics, or a-fib, or sleep, or general sense of well-being? And can the oil or spray, or even epsom salts soaks, be safely used in addition

Well it happened again
I was getting my 3rd Tysabri infusion today and they had to stop 9 minutes in. Trouble breathing. Like I was suffocating. THat was even with pre meds, benedryl and steroid. It's clear this medicine is not for me. I will not try it again. I was also on valium so I didn't freak out. I am pretty
