Post op cough after Ivor Lewis
Hi, My Mum had her Ivor Lewis in Nov 2017, since then she has had an horrendous cough, especially when talking and eating? The upper GI specialist nurse said it seems it is a reflux cough? She is due to have a stretch in two weeks. After having a barium swallow, it showed things were moving slow through

Week 8 completed!! Week 9 I can’t wait!!!
Well what a strange week!! Did my 2nd run on Sunday with no problems then had my sore foot while out for a stroll with my son that evening. It felt like I was walking in a large pebble every step. I really thought I was going to be out of action for a while. I soaked it in Epsom salts, rubbed Voltarol

Oh joy...
49, just got diagnosed last Wednesday. Go for Bone scan and CT tomorrow. Gleason 8/10. PSA was a 5.4 two months ago, 6.7 now. Of course worried about the whole bone thing. Not looking forward to drinking the barium (vanilla, what a joke) tomorrow (so gross). I'm kind of addicted to this whole breathing

Amphetamine for methadone withdrawal???
What's working for me is dextroamphetamine. I've tried Gabapentin for RLS at 1000mg nightly and I have been going through hell. Was on methadone 160mg daily for 16 years for opiate addiction I got when I had cancer surgery. Over one year tapered to 25mg methadone daily then quit cold turkey. I was desperate

Hi to all-
Dad and I (Deb) have been following the site but first time for posting. Thank you all for sharing. I’ve been taking care of Dad since his diagnosis in 2011. We held steady with Lupron for the first two years or so, but since then, it’s been an aggressive battle. I don’t want to go back and second guess

My doctors will drive me to... death due to conflicting medications.
Health insurers hate me. I am on about 15-10 medications. At age 53, I had a small heart attack. I was born with a defective heart valve that was replaced 7 years ago (Afib was the sign it needed replacement). I thought the afib was gone. Then, 2 months ago, that valve was again replaced along with

Post Ivor Lewis Mucus
Hi, I’m really hoping someone can help me find a solution to the excessive mucus that causes coughing and then retching it up every time my husband moves around. He’s 5 weeks post Ivor Lewis...which followed 28 radiation treatments & 7 carbon platin infusions. Surgeon says everything looks great on chest

RLS Help, no drugs
When I first developed RLS 10 years ago I got rid of it by limiting saturate fat in my diet and completely cutting out gluten. Gluten was the big trouble-maker (I made repeated attempts to check this out, it all confirmed it). However, I developed it again in a big way when I cut dairy out of my diet

Getting no where with drs
My journey has been a long one since 2012 my drs have suspected that I have something going on with my liver. My enzymes remain at 50AST, 54 ALT 112ALP and have stayed this way for the whole year. At one point they went back down to completely normal. I have had my ANA and AMA tested twice both negative

Extreme Tinnitus (ear infection?) - Help!
Something very strange has been happening to me since late February, and I'm rather worried. I wondered if anyone here has any suggestions (I'm seeing an ENT tomorrow). Timeline is this: Feb 21st: A nightclub decides to move into my head with an array of thumping-banging-booming sounds IN MY HEAD (

MIGRAINE SUMMIT Notes - NON MEDICINAL TREATMENTS
ROBERT COWAN - NATURAL TREATMENTS. FROM THE CURRENT MIGRAINE SUMMIT. CONTINUES TODAY https://www.migraineworldsummit.com I thought these notes from his talk were interesting for people to see. He talked about non-medical treatments, a really interesting chat for those of us who don't want to swallow

Results/question after passing of Dad
We have finally received the Foundation One results. They listed 3 genomic findings of CDKN2A/B loss, microsatellite status MS-Stable, Tumor Mutation Burden-intermediate; 8 muts. There were no FDA approved or potential clinical trials. We have about 30 pages of medical terminology that we dont understand

Difficulty initiating swallowing
I have been having difficulty initiating to swallow for 4 months now. I do not have acid reflux, I’ve had a modified Barium swallow test done and an endoscopy test done both showing that everything’s “normal” and yet I still struggle initiating to swallow. I hesitate when I do try to eat any solids and

Introducing myself
Anxiety, generalized anxiety is my nemesis. It can go for years and then creep back in and take over my life for long stretches of time. I am in the midst of one of the anxiety episodes. Historically, if the anxiety goes on for a period of time it morphs into depression. I have been on Zoloft for many
