Grrrrr. Rant on docs.
I've apparently run across a rule-follower of a doc. Moved to a new city, and saw her for dizziness, RLS and neck pain. After a bunch of referrals to other incompetent docs, and no relief for a single symptom, I asked her for valium that I could take when I woke up in the middle of the night in agony

SOS - accident - not thyroid related
Yesterday my husband fell (there was a pothole) crossing the road and pulled me down with him. He is perfectly ok apart from a grazed finger, but I fell on my right side and the side of both knees. We were very near our medical centre, so went in and were seen by a nurse. She bathed and dressed my knees

Endo Pain
My pain is horrendous - severe daily pain. I honestly don’t even know how I function I am awaiting my third laparoscopic excision surgery and the consultant said regular surgery may need to happen. Also being tested for PCOS as a recent ultra sound showed signs of that I am currently being weaned off

Can’t sleep 💤
Happy new year everyone! Here’s to a healthier and happier time for us all ahead 🙏 Does anyone have any advice on sleeping better with Hashimotos? I actually stopped taking Levo a year ago so I could sleep ‘normally’ instead of sweating, feeling cold, tossing and turning all night even though I was

Fighting the sadness/anxiety
I have posted before, I am a senior, no family. As I sit here feeling low grade anxiety, sadness, I'm trying to keep at bay. I have had drugs (venlafaxine) and valium to calm the anxiety. Through years of therapy, I know to talk about it, write about it. Being alone is tough. Being a senior is hard to

Traumatic Nights
Hi! I'm new to this forum and anxious to see if anyone else experiences what I do at night. These nightly episodes have been occurring for years and I always feel good during the day. It's usually not long after I fall asleep....I wake up and start hallucinating vividly around the room and then I'm

Radium 223 success/advice?
My 82 year old dad has prostate cancer that has spread to the bones and after becoming hormone resistant he will be starting Radium 223 soon, as long as his next scan doesn't show any nasties. Does anyone have any success stories of this? Does it work better with anything else? Any advice would be appreciated

9 months after Chemo PSA on the rise.
Saw Oncologist today, my PSA has been steady 0.028 since the Chemo ended, today it's 0.70. I had the surgery (subcapsular orchiectomy) in Nov so maybe my body just needs to settle from the trauma. I asked about Testosterone levels, he didn't know and he asked for another blood test. He did say the Chemo

Hi, I suffered from IBS when I was younger really badly. Then it kinda went and only popped up occasionally. Now, I had a reflux episode that led to a barium swallow. Upper GI Results
If I were to have an upper GI barium swallow test, would taking a PPI affect the results? If I do have reflux would the test show that I don’t since I am taking medication for it?

Barium swallow rest
Just had a swallow test done and it has shown the muscle at the top of the throat is not working as it should but of more concern is the problem the arthritis is creating. It showed the esophgous - sorry not sure of spelling - is being narrowed by the extra bony bits growing by the cervical spine. These

Day 4 - Should I remove this part of the dressing?
Today I have removed the dressing as it was starting to feel a bit twitchy. I bathed in Epsom salts and removed the outer dressing and the blue gauze underneath it with no problems. However I’m left with a small bit of dressing tight around the ring (pic included). I’m not sure if I should remove

Aripiprazole
I have been on Aripiprazole for 11 days and feel so restless and agitated. I have been given valium for the last 3 days to help but I still feel so restless. I can't sit still or just watch TV. Its like I have to keep moving. Can anyone help advise how long this lasts? What helps?
