Hi , I am sorry if all my posts are along the lines of "has anyone tried this!" But....has anyone tried an Epsom salts liver de-tox?
I am up for trying anything that might help my condition, but, living as I do on my own, like to be able to talk things through with people in the same situation as myself.
I hope this is OK with everyone.

I have heard of epsom Salt baths which loads of the Ladies here recomemend but never an Epso Salts liver de-tox. I am sure some ladies will know. I would recommend that you talk it through with your Onc Team as well though.
I feel like you are a few months behind me asking exactly the same questions that l did after I was diagnosed. However I've always believed in Epsom baths. One of my daughters has food allergy issues and we have used Epsom baths on her for years. I made sense that it would be good after chemo to get rid of it as soon as possible. I would have an Epsom bath nightly for about 4-5 nights post chemo. I would do it just before bed and I would have a much better sleep. Planning on continuing with the baths on a regular basis. It's just another element that I have found makes me feel better.
My only problem is because I'm currently living in Norway Epsom salts are ridiculously expensive and I'm spending a fortune between my daughter and myself 😉.
There is a really good book I recently bought that answers lots of the integrated medicine questions. I think you would like it. It's called "the cancer revolution" by Patricia Peat, I bought it on Amazon.
Oh, I guess I am asking questions that have already been asked and answered, but I suppose that is bound to happen with new people joining the forum all the time.
The de-tox I was reading about, involved taking the Epsom salts orally.
You mix it with olive oil and fruit juice and take it over a couple of days.
I am a bit wary, but don't think it is any different to Andrews Liver Salts that I remember my dad taking after a bit of self indulgence!
Sorry I didn't mean I was asking the same questions on here I was asking the same questions generally and researching frantically. We had the same thought process 😉.
I've read before about oral Epsom but I've never managed to see it. Let me know if it works for you. Also a big fan of bicarbonate of soda.
I use it to settle dodgy tummies but I also add it to an Epsom bath along with a little frankincense essential oil.
For me I would stick to the Epsom Salts Baths to be honest. Ok it might cleanse the tummy but at what cost. I would think its too severe while on chemo. Did you ever notice that when you do have the baths you go to the loo a lot better so perhaps that is enough result. Bibs 73 I wonder is there a way to make it up from ingredients from the chemist just for bathing purposes. I would google it and see what the composition is and it may work out cheap to make it, in fact I might do it myself. When I soak my feet in a basin of water with epsom salts, the basin is emptied on the hydrangea and I get great blue blooms
Thanks Suzuki that's a good idea but it's just everything is more expensive here and if I buy it online the postage is a fortune because of the weight. I always make sure anyone visiting brings with them and we're heading to The States in a couple of weeks so I'll be bringing back then too.
As I haven't started chemo yet, I haven't tried the baths , but might give it a go tonight. The hydrangea tip is great though, as mine is a wishy washy pink and I would love it to be blue.
