Magnesium Sulphate
Many of us get this as our first port of call when rushed into A&E.Did you know you can inhale it through the nebuliser? You have to mix it up yourself as it is only Epsom Salts after all, but have to get it plus the distilled water on prescription, but it is good stuff and saves overdosing on huge RDA's

Ferrous Sulphate?
Hey, I've been anaemic since age 13 and discovered I had pernicious anaemia age 17. Recently I've had alot of trouble with Ferrous sulphate, it just hasn't been agreeing with my stomach recently so my GP changed it to a slow release form called Ferrograd. I had some blood taken on Tuesday to see how

Looking for people like me
Hi everyone I've been floating around for a while and reading the forums. I note with concern that many of you are in and out of hospital and use nebulisers every day. My asthma seems different and I was wondering if any of you have similar symptoms or any idea what could help. I'm not even sure it's

Everything fine post Oesophagectomy in 2004 but recently having swallowing problems again with reflux. A Roux-En-Y op. was mentioned.
Had the Oesophagectomy done back in 2004 for Achalasia. Then i remained generally problem free. It is only in the last 11 months that my old swallowing and reflux problems are recurring. I have had to have 2 dilatations in recent months. The surgeon mentioned my having a Roux-En-Y operation in the near

Does anyone else suffer with wanting to throw up after eating. I have suffered from this since my op in January this year.
Since my op I have had an endoscopy, a barium swallow and the latest was the balloon stretch to see if this would help with my sickness problem. I cannot seem to eat very well at all, unless it's sloshy things, mostly a sweet instead of a savoury meal. I desperately want to eat but it just doesn't

A history of thyroid madness or not??
Whilst I have been busy trying to get to the bottom of my health probs I started thinking back to childhood and family - I can only follow my maternal lineage. My nan spent years in and out of depression and anxiety and I remember she used to go to bed a lot and had no energy. I remember her being

Results normal but showing symptoms of underactive thyroid.
I take 100mg of levethyroxine everyday plus I am supposed to take ferrous sulphate 200mg (no stores)but don't take as I have to be careful when I take them but do have tablets which I take most months to reduce bleeding for my heavy period. Resently, I felt very tired, gained some weight, loss of

Hello everyone, Just a quick note tell you all how life is going. I have a big birthday coming up 20/8 and guess who is having a big party! Yes I am, I am going to celebrate being well and getting on with life post RA diagnosis 3 years ago. I thought at one point I would never walk again and now

I am diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis and Raynaud's. My consultant thinks I have another autoimmune disease too. Can anyone help me?
I have had minor joint pains for years plus fatigue. In April of 2011 I went into some kind of massive flare up overnight and it lasted for weeks. I had frozen shoulders, wrists and knees, stiff painful knuckles, fingers and thumbs, trigger fingers on my little and ring fingers, Raynaud's phenomenon

Try walking in their shoes
I am no girlie woose...I've lived and worked full time for the last ten years with disability and RA. walked with a frame, been through major surgery. The one panic attack in my life was in an MRI tunnel but I got over it. Three years ago I had an MRI scan for my back, it was a breeze. Two years

Well it is 4am and I can;t sleep so I thought I would bore you to sleep if you have the same problem. I can't sleep because of pain in my chest (I have a terminal heart and lung
