How to get a skinny person mindset?
It seems like a never-ending circle, when I'm super strict and do sports, write down everything I eat, I lose a few kilos then life happens (holiday, stress at work,
injury
) and I'm
back
to the start. I don't see how im going to be able to enjoy normal life and stay the same weight ever.

First Parkrun since July
Was a bit nervous of going
back
to Parkrun after
injury
but everything felt OK for this morning and I have been building up the distances again this week so I decided to go for it but keep it really slow and steady and be prepared to walk if needed.

And it’s very possible you could find the same thing happens to you, however unlikely that may seem right now; yes really it might 😀 I’m currently doing C25K for the second time, coming

Caught between consultants & GP
I was referred to royal Brompton cons' he suggested not all symptoms were asthma so had a challenge test - said I have hypersensitive airways (which I knew). Was then asked to have a Mannitol test - reacted to first dose, needing x3 nebilising to sort asthma attack out! Now stuck between cons' and local

Hydrotherapy and exercise
Just one of those late evening thoughts. Seldom do we have posts on hydrotherapy here. Liz used to have one to one hydrotherapy with a neuro-physiotherapist. Her lack of balance was not an issue in the water. She was able to do exercises and swim and the resistance of the water gave her a good work

Couch to 5K after spinal injury
I broke my
back
and sustained a spinal
injury
in 2013 and although I managed to learn to walk again, I have nerve damage in both legs. Running wasn't really on the agenda, but in an effort to get fit again I gave Couch to 5K a go and I could do it!

Trying to get back on track after injury
Good morning all new to this forum. I suffered a knee injury 7 weeks ago and have been unable to walk any distance. I am slowly recovering. I have missed getting out and about mentally as much as physically this week I am trying to do a short walk every day and just listen to my knee if it gets too

What have I done? Advice please 🤔
Did manage 10k a couple of times at the start of the year before I had to stop running due to a
back
injury
(some muppet reversed into my stationary car) 🙄 Anyway, I'm getting
back
into it, and despite suffering from imposter syndrome am actually starting to enjoy running again.

Support please
Hi there. I am new to this site. My mom was sadly diagnosed with PSP and frontotemporal dementia 4 years ago, I just need some support and would like to hear from others in a similar situation or even meet up with people. I feel very alone in terms of others understanding this horrific disease. I

Hi guys, I’ve completed C25K and Ju-Ju’s 10k plan, had a 3 month

How to get back to running after an ankle injury
I completed Couch to 5K last year and after running regularly for 5K I decided to extend my distance with a goal of a 10K event this October. After a few weeks and getting up to 7.5K I sprained my ankle. That was on 31 July. I’ve been seeing a sports therapist weekly and am pleased to say that after

I guess I am a bit of a fool.
I just got
back
from my second vacation since my
injury
and just like the first a year ago, about 10 days in I started feeling pretty down. I finally figured out why. I had been hoping, without even realizing I was, that "all I needed was a good rest". Yah, well, not so much.

W9R2 Second time around, 5K in the bag, great to be back!
I’ve gained immense respect for everyone who comes
back
from
injury
or illness. In a way, it’s harder for rank amateurs like me than it is for professionals. I’m not talking about the medical support and specialist training that they get; I’m referring to motivation.

Chuffed but scared!
It's actually taken me 5 months to get to week 5 - setbacks including a cataract op and a
back
injury
, but I've also repeated some weeks over and over, not believing I could do any more. I went out tonight thinking I'd try 8 minutes, but if I could only do 5 then I'd just repeat week 5 run 1.

Beating back my first bad symptom. Thiamin?
So, last August I was at work on a layover in Hartford, CT and went down to the fitness center in the hotel and hopped on the treadmill for my regular 30 minute run. Most of the hotels at which we stay for work have the LifeStyle brand of treadmill. These are narrower and slightly more bouncy than

lay offs requiring physio have been so valuable in providing a plan for strengthening weak areas. Famous last words, but I am not anticipating a breakdown every time I go out now....watch this space!😂😂

Does a Malar Rash, muscle pain & tiredness make Lupus???
I’ve had many potential triggers – a divorce after 40 years marriage, isolation (I have no friends or family), the severe
back
injury
followed by UTI infections that wouldn’t clear, several courses of antibiotics, the drug reactions, steroids – the list is seemingly endless!
