Yoga 2nd time.
Just wanted to thank everyone for your advice last week regarding my embarrassment at the
yoga
class. I went again yesterday and it was only an hour and I was great I wore some protection and that gave me a bit of a feeling of security but I didn’t need it and I really enjoyed it.

Good news/bad news
I’m keeping up with my
yoga
classes (75 minutes, 3 times a week). I’m trying to eat healthy but I have no motivation to go to the grocery store or cook. I have no motivation to go anywhere, really.

Took my daily
Yoga
(YWA Day 17 Slow and Gentle) outside this late morning, and it was delicious. The 28 min practice felt more like Tai Chi, although by the end of it, I had a thin sheen of sweat on my forehead.

You can recover
The last 18 months I’ve felt great- I’ve managed to lose 1.5 stones and am able to do 4 exercise classes a week- dance, circuits, pilates and
yoga
- as well as lots of dog walking and gardening.

What has helped me during flare ups
I also exercise everyday, especially
yoga
, and eat the best I can. This this is difficult 100% of the time and I love going out for dinner and having a few drinks every now and then, socialising is good for my mental health.

Short of breath since pandemic
It's just like my inhale is half what is used to be (I do
yoga
everyday so am very aware of my previous lovely long breaths). It seems to be like this now all the time, although worse on certain days. I notice that stress, tiredness, an upset stomach and my period all make it worse.

Shaking it up a bit
I've also taken up a beginners
yoga
class so that's a long held ambition finally filled. Now I'm working up (mentally) for my 'big run' at the weekend. I might do it on Friday as I have to go somewhere on Saturday, and much as I'd like to try Parkrun again I'm not sure I'll have time.

CBDB’s Slow Run Fun Plan for post 10k consolidation
It has: - one 10k per week - some Intervall Training and focussed runs just to get used to running at a higher leg turnover or focus on a particular running aspect -
Yoga
and Cross Training sections that can be adapted to anyone’s preference but also suggestions in the footnotes of specific cross training

Overwhelmed
I used to take
yoga
classes and do mosaic projects but both places closed in the beginning of the pandemic. When they reopened the hours were limited and the cost increased so I wasn't able to go back. I hate going into a store now.

Morning run and almost poisoned by pips
Eventful day after starting it with an iced lemon water 🍋 💦, then a great, cool wet 5k run this morning (to Podrunner intervals again), followed by stretches and shower, and then a 30 min stretchy
Yoga
session. What a great way to start the day.

STRESS & ARTHRITIS
Yoga
not for me, struggling to meditate BUT, listening to a male Welsh choir can lift my spirits a bit, have Welsh blood and visiting the beautiful Derwent Valley and Tittesworth Reservoir, online only at the moment helps. Glad I found this website
