Lower back pain and stiffness
I try to stretch every day with
yoga
, can't exercise now by walking and feel trapped into inactivity just when I feel the worst effects of PMR/GCA/ Pred. are on the wane. Has anyone else suffered similar ? Can this also be connected to PMR?

Exercising with PA
As someone who used to run 2/3 times a week and teach/ practice
yoga
I’m finding incredibly frustrating mentally and physically. Just a weekend away last week with some long walks had me laid out for a full day with extreme fatigue again.

What happens when you run with the lads
Well, given all this free time and the sun was shining and I was already wearing most of my running kit (I only own one pair of leggings so wear them for
yoga
too) what's a girl to do?

Still running.....
Although running doesn't help you loose weight, I started to feel better about myself and made better choices, I've now lost over 2 stone which helps with the running, on rest days I do
yoga
. To all of those staring out or struggling through, you can do this. Good luck and keep running.

CATCH-UP CORNER...WEEK 2...Please do come and join us...Because on some days...
I am doing Red January, but I am NOT getting many runs in...loads of core strength work,,,
yoga
every day and walks here and there. But the last run I had was last Tuesday; by the sea, and I very nearly froze.

Tension in Head/Neck?
I tried a massage gun and neck massager, ibuprofen, and
yoga
, but the tightness is still lingering from yesterday. I'm not asking for medical advice, but I'm open to any tips about how to help relieve the tension because it can be really tiring to deal with.

Slaying your dragons with compassion
A big piece of our
yoga
practise is sadhana - Sanskrit meaning discipline. A willingness to commit to regular psycho-spiritual practises that resonate with you. To dismantle the things that hold us back. And keep finding ways home. To our within.

Following my
yoga
retreat in Wales where I did a little "wild swimming" in an incredibly cold lake I was determined it wouldn't be a one off, so I've linked up with a swimming group in Worthing and jumped in the sea Saturday.

How do you manage stress
Excited to try Tai Chi and
yoga
which should be doable, modifications for seniors sounds perfect for me, really want to learn the moves I tried utube but didn’t work for me. I also walk daily due to new dog this year. How do you free yourself from your own head?

Rowing conundrums, seductive workouts and tech mashups
And then life intervened, as it does, and an extremely stressful 7 days at work got in the way of living, and I ended up managing to get on the rower only after that week, and similar goes for my daily
yoga
practice. Ohh nooo, am I finally falling off that wagon??

Yoga and some positivity
So the main thing I wanted to share is
yoga
is helping me to gather myself to fight. Simple breathing techniques will calm the nerves to settle. Take care guys. If anyone wants to know please let me know. I will suggest simple pranayama and
yoga
postures.

How to Increase BDNF
Yoga
and meditation are effective ways to manage stress and increase BDNF levels, according to a 2017 paper (Cahn et al.)[21]. And getting enough sleep is essential for a healthy brain and healthy BDNF levels[22]. But when you’re stressed, your need for sleep may be even higher[23]. 2.

Autumn Dessert: Gluten-free Mixed Fruits Tarte Tatin. 🍎🍐🍓🫐🥧😋❤️
🤗 I love waking up very early in the morning to do meditation and
yoga
to start my day fresh. 😊 For today, since I have many fruits, I decided to make mixed fruits tarte tatin. 😋👍 Since I have the enameled cast iron tatin pan designed for making this type of baking so it is super quick and easy.

Tales from the IC : Stop Go Stop Go … (#4)
So the IC still has me a bit in its grips, but I am doing harder workouts, foot stretches,
yoga
as usual and even managed to get a couple of rowing sessions in since posting last.

Immune System..
(See “Managing stress”) Exercises that have calming or meditative qualities, such as qi gong and
yoga
, also are beneficial and can easily be done at home. Video calls can help us stay connected to loved ones and reduce the stress of not being able to get together in person.
